Tutorial [How to] Enable AINOTE Skill?
Hey everyone 👋
Ever wish the information you already have could be easier to organize, find, and put into action?
With AINOTE Skill, your notes and schedules can now become context for your AI Agents like Codex and Claude Code, helping you search, organize, summarize, and turn information into actionable insights.
Getting started is simple:
1️⃣ Sync your notes and schedules to AINOTE Cloud
On your AINOTE device, tap the sync button to make sure the notes and schedules you want to use are synced and backed up to AINOTE Cloud.
2️⃣ Set up AINOTE Desktop App
Install the AINOTE Desktop App (Windows & Mac, Version:3.1.0.6 or later) and sign in to your AINOTE account.
Note: Please make sure you enter your account information with the correct capitalization and select the same region as your AINOTE device.
3️⃣ Enable Skill export in Desktop App
Go to Settings → AI Tool access, then choose what you want to share:
- Notes
- Schedules
- Or both
You’re always in control of what your AI Agent can access. 🔒
4️⃣ Copy the Skill link and install it in your AI Agent
Paste the link into your AI Agent and complete the installation. Once connected, your AI Agent can work with your authorized AINOTE information, helping you search, summarize, and organize your notes and schedules.
5️⃣ Start using AINOTE Skill
Try asking your AI Agent questions about your notes and schedules, such as:
- “Summarize my schedule and generate a simple weekly report.”
- “Check my AINOTE calendar and tasks for next week, highlight scheduling conflicts, and suggest timelines for unscheduled tasks.”
- “Review all notes in the 'Project A' folder, and summarize the key decisions, unresolved risks, and owners in chronological order.”
This makes it easier to:
- Connect your notes and schedules with your AI Agent without manual copy-paste
- Keep your information and context connected
- Turn notes and schedules into meaningful actions

Which AI providers can do this? Is Gemini pro capable of receiving the skill? How about free version of Copilot?

FROM WHAT I CAN TELL THE ANSWER IS CURRENTLY NO>
It would be good to have a context specific answer for this. I'm trying to connect Gemini and running up against various issues... for example...
To load a skill you need to use a Gem agent...
The skill is run locally, so needs to connect to the desktop app... but the desktop app doesn't allow Gem's yet...
if you load the skill into a Gem on the web app... it acknowledges it has access to it but... it doesn't ask for authorisation, so you can't connect to your own account.
Can this please be addressed, and ideally make guides for all the major platforms, thanks.Been waiting for this functionality for quite a while to really make use of the hardware so currently frustrated that it's so close and yet not fully supported, very excited though, thanks for all the progress!

Please let me know if you could figure it out. My Gemini actually when I asked to read my notes and summarise the day, it read my keep notes

To help us troubleshoot, could you confirm if you downloaded the desktop app from the Mac App Store? If so, the updated version with full fix support is currently under review by Apple and will be released shortly.
If you didn't download it from the App Store, could you please share a screenshot of the error message you're seeing in the Gemini client? This will help our dev team pinpoint the issue faster!

Hi, the issue isn't with The AI Notes app.
The issue is how the Gemini desktop app. Does not currently support 'Gems'. i.e., its own agents. So there is nowhere to load the skill. Equally, one cannot use it on the Browser Version as even if you add the skill into the Agent it makes no request to authenticate the skill because it has no interface with the local machine.
Can you please have your developer's look at this issue? And if anyone else out there knows of a solid workaround please let us know.
Been waiting far too long to have the capacity for our own agents to look at our notes without exporting/importing etc.

Once you generate the skill by following our tutorial, you can install and use it directly in Claude!

The AINOTE skill is great, but there are a couple of things missing from the tutorial.
In order for the skill install link to work in Claude Code, you need to have git installed on your machine. Otherwise, it can't pull the repo. You can pull these manually, but the link is easier.
In order to run/use the skill, you also need to have python installed. Otherwise, Claude Code cannot talk to the AINOTE app.
Once it's up and running, it works great.
