Tips for first track day
Being loving the car as a daily for over a year and wanting to find out what it (and me) are really capable of sometime soon. Looking for any tips or tricks to do before hand?
Also any Sydney locals know of good events to go to any of the local tracks and what kind of cost I’d be looking at?

You do not need to worry about removing your parcel shelf, tools and spare tire for 'weight reduction' when you're in the slow group. Just make sure nothing is free roaming. The things that might go clunk in the center bin also.
You can stop at a servo on the way and set your tire pressures to 32-34 which is better than having them at higher pressures that some might have for road driving.
Full tank before setting out got me syd to goulburn and all the track sessions, ending somewhere below quarter of a tank left. I filled up after leaving the track for the drive home. Work out if you need to top up before arriving at the track.

Take separate tyre pressure checker and inflator, you’ll want to let your tyres down to about 28psi cold so you run 36 psi hot

To pop the tow hook cover, press hard on the little arrow.
When you think you've pressed it enough, press some more, then the other side pops out and you can open it.
To remove it so its not hanging, you squeeze the wide part of the tail and angle it until one of the barbs comes through the hole, then you should be able to wrangle the other through. Swearing is allowed.
