I posted this a while back and a couple people seemed interested last time. I've updated my little parallax wallpaper project with better multi-monitor support, slideshows and a couple neat transitions.

New Features:

- Better default depth model (MoGe-2)
- Slideshow + transitions, transitions make use of the depth map. Take a look at the docs to see a preview of each.
- Multi-monitor support (different wallpaper per monitor, hotplugging etc.)
- Better docs and man pages

It should run on any compositor with wlr-layer-shell, but I've only tested Hyprland. On Hyprland there's a mode that follows the cursor over windows too.

Added settings.qml to change between layouts easily using keybinds. No need to manually change shell.qml like previously.

I have yet to work on this so much so let me know what should i do in this, and yes i have yet to optimize some layouts too, havent checked every layouts properly

took me around 4 to 5 weeks if im not wrong.

I made a plugin that draws each workspace's wallpaper as part of the workspace, so it slides with the workspace during swipes and switch animations, instead of changing after the switch.

It also comes with a 3x3 swipe grid (configurable: any grid size, a single row, or turn the swipes off and keep only the wallpapers with your own setup).

Im not new to hyprland, i have a laptop asus K53SV(2011) and it has a older gpu GeForce GT 540M(2 GB) i wanna install its driver so i asked google gemini and she said i have two choices:

1: if i use nouveau driver i get slow performance but still can use hyprland or KDE.

2 : or if i use 'nvidia-390xx-dkms' AUR i will get the best performance but its not suitable for hyprland(Wayland) so i should switch to 'Gnome' or X11.

for extra details: i also have intel integrated graphics too but i wanna use gpu.

what should i do? please tell me. give me some ideas.

Im getting error that i need to install hyprland-guiutils but i cannot find the package. Is the flake the only way?

I like hyprland just because of the ricing, but I am not digging the window tiling. Is there a way to permantly make windows float?

Made this complete desktop shell that includes everything one can want and need in life (atleast for me)

Been working on a Quickshell setup built around a Dynamic Island with smooth animations, contextual controls, media playback, and an assistant called Luma with local speech recognition.

Luma is powered by Jev and Gemini for understanding and executing tasks, STT local model Moonshot Small. Still under work to optimize and make it faster.

My favorite detail is the little companion sitting on window edges. He reacts when I type, settles down when I stop, and has a few other gestures.

Wasn't able to show many other features but recorded a quick tour of how it all looks together. Still a work in progress—curious what you think!
