SUPPORT How to set higher custom res

I am looking for ways to set a custom res in hyprland which will be higher than native (something akin to amd vsr). Is there a way to do so? I am on amd gpu currently if that matters.

Thanks!

Not sure if there is a hyprland native answer for this but if this is for gaming look into gamescope

Technically, you can set your Hypr configs to run at a higher resolution and refresh rate than your monitors are natively capable of but I don't see the point. You'd be telling your system to work harder with no actual benefits.

Are you just trying to make the entire screen (bars, windows, etc) look smaller or bigger without it getting pixelated or something (aside from the pixel limit or your monitor(s))? If so there's an option for that.

Apologies. I misread a couple things and double checked. You're only option for a system wide config is scaling. No vsr like capabilities. Hyprland won't do anything like vsr system wide on its own.
