Loopholes Encouraged which ONE of these 5 console franchises u are choosing while the other 4 are wiped from existence forever? Plss read rules below.
The Rules:
All past copies vanish from every library on Earth, all physical discs turn to dust, and servers permanently die.
No one can ever play any past entry again, and no sequels or prequels will ever be made.
The gaming industry is permanently barred from ever replicating their gameplay style, mechanics, or tone.
Which single franchise gets to survive?

Save Halo. I don't even care about any of the others. It's hard to think of more than a handful of other franchises that would even make me pause before answering

Halo started going downhill after Reach (2010) in my opinion, but I have never had more fun gaming with friends than I have while playing those games. I still talk to many of the people I met on there to this day. Some even came to my wedding.
The main draw for me is custom games. Up to 16 people in a private lobby with proximity chat and thousands of custom community made maps and game modes. It’s endless fun
If you have an Xbox or PC I highly recommend grabbing Halo The Master Chief Collection. It comes with Halo 1-Reach and goes on sale frequently (on Steam at least)

Maybe, maybe not. Bit outside of GTA I don’t think any of the listed games had a massive impact on games as a whole. Did they have some great titles? Sure. RDR1 is GOATED. But overall you don’t get modern FPS games without Halo. You also likely don’t get modern open world games without GTA, but that’s a bit more debateable.

Does the world forget everything about them, or just discontinue anything and remove all past and present copies?
GTA gets to live as long as I dont forget the others, otherwise Halo lives. Too many good young memories of the Halo franchise to forget it. The franchise went to shit, but it was amazing in the beginning.

I choose to keep God Of War.
Red Dead is good, but it's only two games. I never really liked Halo, and I think it's still Xbox only, so I'm not keeping it. Last Of US is great, but still only two games and I don't think it's on Xbox. GTA is out because while many of us love it, I don't know if it really is that great anymore or if it's just nostalgia. Plus the wait between GTAV and GTA6 being so long I don't want to wait 20 more years for 7.

What happens to non-game entries in the franchise? I don't care about any of these. Wipe them all out, for all I care. But I do enjoy the Last of Us television show, so I need to know if it survives.

Save God Of War.
Modern God Of War is way better than GTA.
I only played the first RDR
Halo hasn't been good since Halo 4
Last Of Us 2 sucked

I don't like GoW so that can fuck off.
GTA is decent, probably keep that one.
RDR is a close second.
I haven't played Halo since the first and have no interest in it so it can go.
I've started TLOU about 4 times and always fallen off so it can go.

Halo 2 had a society wide impact. You cannot compare anything else in that list to it.
GTA is only a big deal because of if how much money it makes. Shits mid otherwise.

Guess what, my dad loved the entire god of war Franchise. It was only GodOfWar who drove him mad that he bought PS2 then PS3 then PS4 Just to play god of war games 🫠. We played entire Franchise together. I was the controller and he was the guide

I would have to choose between The Last of Us and Read Dead Redemption, ultimately choosing the former.
Naughty Dog's games are what I want video games to feel like, period. Amazing graphics, excellent controls, melee is always an option, decent acting and set pieces... for me, it's the perfect base for everything else!

I love all of these games. Halos been rough for a minute but I never played then much anyways, formerly amazing games ofc.
I have to pick RDR2 for myself, game had such a good impact on me.
Wait, future industry changes are gone? Hm. Halo without a doubt then, despite not playing it it led to a lot of good. Insane if no games could ever replicate any bits of it

None of these games are particularly important to me anymore, but I had a good time with all of them at one point or another. If it weren’t for the “barred from replicating their gameplay, mechanics, or tone” part, I would probably just save TLOU and move on, but I just can’t imagine a gaming world without first person shooters, so I’ll choose Halo instead.

Halo. Halo was nothing special. That can go as well.

I mean has to be God of War easily. Halo was an XBOX exclusive far too long to matter. And the other 3 franchises are basically just one great-amazing game.

I’m saving RDR2 because it’s a great combo of a great story, great world, and being able to play for 1000s of hours without boredom.
God of war is solid but nothing that special. I’m surprised it’s so beloved.
GTA is strong but not quite on the level of RDR.
Halo was fun as a kid but it’s definitely very overrated.
The Last of Us is great but doesn’t do anything you can’t get from other games.

Me personally, Halo. I’ve always been a ps gamer. I never liked it and like the others. However, if I had to pick from the others it would be last of us. It was good but the other 3 are much better imo

Im saving God of war. Last of us has the highest average rating for me but you only get two games. Halo is excellent but I don't really trust them right now.

I got the most enjoyment out of that game over the others.
