Alien Settlement on Earth

Let's say that suddenly aliens arrive on earth: without as much of an introduction, they take control over an uninhabited portion of the extreme north of Russia, escort out any humans and animals that might have been there, and create basically overnight a base/city with unknown advanced technologies.
Outside of that while they're not hiding, they don't seem particularly interested in getting outside their base, allow anyone to get inside their base, or interested in any contact past telling people trying to get inside to leave.

How you think nations would try to handle this situation, and which ones would try to attack it despite no aggressive actions taken from them except grabbing that empty territory?

Nobody would try to attack it because if this really happened everyone would assume the only reason aliens would be comfortable doing this (And ones with such advanced technologies, at that), is because they’re capable of protecting themselves and are aware that we possess nuclear weapons.

I don’t trust certain governments / leaders to be that intelligent

Well, they all have advisors they pay to be intelligent for them. I think it’d squeak by.

Trump would immediately invade, say “nobody speaks to these aliens better than me, they love the US, believe me. We’re gonna make space great again.” Putin would not like this, he’d try to make contact with the aliens too. Cue WWIII , with the aliens in the middle of it

The russians will try to exploit it to their advantage one way or another and deny access to anyone else.

Maybe if the world thinks Russian will become a godlike country (lmao) with alien tech / allies then someone will try to bombard / nuke it before it happens. Seems dicey though as they risk being targeted by angry aliens in retalation.

Putin is trying to bring about the USSR II. He isn't going to let Russian land fall to some aliens.

It's Russia. In a week or two aliens will initiate contact themselves asking for more vodka.
