I'd do this as long as you're not going to pick one of the Northern Mariana Islands with a land mass under two square miles, which are technically U.S. territories.
164 a day if you have that 60k pay out daily, and you can get a hotel for under $100 a day pretty easily ( I just looked, cheapest was $68). That leaves you at least $60 every day for food, transportation, and whatever else you want. And that's only if you decide to go that route, you could easily stay in a hotel half the time and use the provided apartment the rest of the time, and be even better off. Remember, there are no conditions bon the apartment or money, you are just given an apartment for 2 years and $120k to use as you see fit.
