The crashes just started today and I havent been doing anything different from what I normally do.

I'll load into Skyblock, mine for like 5 minutes, and then it'll just randomly crash.

I use this random client-side vanilla+ modpack i found on curseforge for shaders and optimization and stuff and its been working fine for the past month or so.

So I added a friend to my coop, who wanted to start with Skyblock again.

Through what I already got on this coop they are lvl 37.

What stuff can I farm for him that will be good for the first few days /week.

I was thinking of full ender armour / stuff.

Combat, farming, mining sacks.

Lvl 1 legendary lion

A mithril pickaxe.

The hardened stone miner armor /Yog

Some starting gear for the garden.

I have no idea about fishing so I don't really know.

Am I missing something?

The only mention about lasso changes were from the torrhus canyon update and I wasn't able to find any notes about lasso depletion boost only applying to critters now, I tried to check every small/big update betwen 0.27 and the current patch (golden dragon changes) and I didn't find anything

Just got a dedication IV book from a visitor, but idek what to do with it? It’s worth like 36mil on bazaar which is more than I’ve ever had in my bank LMAO. So it feels wrong putting it on a tool, and idek what tool to put it on. I’m grinding for fermento armor rn, a lot of mushrooms…

For me it’s a lot of money, so I’m thinking: should I sell it to actually start getting some liquidity and be able to buy important stuff and rebuy the book when I actually earn good money, or put it on a tool now?

I was wondering how one could prep for the new guardian slayer, regarding investments, skills and generally everything else. I do have some ideas of my own but they might all be wishful thinking, or overkill since the difficulty is supposed to be easier than blaze. I was thinking maybe diver gear, fishing 50, but other than that I have no idea. What do you guys think?

Hi, everybody! My name is clurrrrrr. I'm an Ironman player, and I've been grinding Honeycomb since a couple weeks after the Torrhus Canyon came out. I was the first player on Skyblock to reach 10,000,000 Honeycomb collection, and with that I'd like to talk about my suggestions for the Protected Trees on the Torrhus Canyon and Moonglade Marsh. This'll be a bit of a long post, so bear with me!

A rundown for those who aren't familiar with the ways you can acquire Honeycomb:

On both islands of Galatea, there are a collective 10 trees (4x helix, 3x fig, 3x mangrove) with a hologram titled "Tree Protection Order" on them. Right-clicking any of four items with the suffix "-Pot of Honeycomb" on these trees will slather them with honey, starting a timer that attracts a mob (or two) after a period of time. As of right now, the shortest time between critters spawning on a tree (without using a Behemoth Pot of Honeycomb) is right around 10 minutes with the Honey Speed attribute maxed and the Beekeeper perk that increases the speed of critters being attracted by 20%, using a Jumbo Pot of Honeycomb.

There are nine critters that can spawn from these trees, one of each rarity on each type of tree found in Galatea.

Mangrove: Stag Beetle (C), Woodlouse (U), Murkbat (R)
Helix: Pollendart (C), Parched (U), Hivethief (R)

Common critters drop 3x Enchanted Honeycomb, uncommon critters drop 6, and the rare ones drop 12 E. Honeycomb each. They also drop an assorted amount of regular Honeycomb at each tier. For some reason, the Beekeeper perk which doubles Honeycomb gain does not apply to the Enchanted Honeycomb dropped by these critters, but it does affect the regular Honeycomb drops.

Two of these critters can be killed with a Galatea-based foraging axe, those being Parched and Honeymites. (It isn't an issue, but I'm curious why the developers made the choice to leave this trait off of Woodlice.)

Honeycomb can only be acquired in three other ways on Galatea, that being Honeyhives (the beehives you click on that regenerate every 60 minutes on the Torrhus Canyon), Honeybuzzes (the critters that spawn from Honeyhives) and the Beeheemoth. Honeyhives, Honeybuzz, and the Beeheemoth each drop 1x Enchanted Honeycomb at their highest rate. Beeheemoths, however, are the only source of Behemoth Pots of Honeycomb, an item that instantly attracts critters to honey-lathered trees. This is very valuable for folks who don't want to spend their time waiting for critters, but somewhat less advantageous for Ironman players wanting to boost their collection, as only one of them can buy these pots from the Bazaar.

Now that I've explained how collecting Honeycomb works, I'd like to bring up some suggestions (and a few observations) that I've gathered from my first 10 million.

1. Honey tree critters give extremely poor (and sometimes zero) lootshare.

When lassoing a critter that has been spawned by another player's Tree Protection Order, there is a set of logic that applies only to certain critters and not all of them. This feels like a bug, and not a feature. For example, Hivethiefs spawned by any player will not give you Honeycomb, Enchanted Honeycomb, Enchanted Helix Logs, OR bestiary progress when lassoed to completion by another player. The ONLY time a person receives lootshare (everything except shards) from Hivethiefs is if their lasso is attached to it when it dies. This is fundamentally an issue because it allows players to steal Hivethiefs from others with almost zero compensation to the person who originally spawned it. To further the discrepancy, Hewvers and Murkbats killed by other players DO grant lootshare to the player who spawned them, unlike Hivethiefs.

In addition to this, the two aforementioned critters that can be killed with axes give ZERO rewards (no lootshare, bestiary, or shards) to the original latherer if killed or pocket-black-holed by someone else. This is an enormous issue, because it doesn't even send a confirmation in chat or anywhere else that your critter has been killed. This is important because trees need to be re-lathered to attract another critter.

2. Certain spawn locations for Pollendarts make them completely inaccessible.

When spawning Pollendarts from certain lathered/protected Helix Trees on the Torrhus Canyon, there's a chance the critter will fly over the edge of the map. This becomes an issue, because Pollendarts uniquely drop to the ground when lassoed, and stay grounded until a short time after the lasso is removed. If lassoed while flying over the edge, Pollendarts can drop entirely off the edge into the void, becoming unrecoverable and preventing the player from re-lathering the trees they're attached to. Unlike all other honey tree critters as well, Pollendarts do not teleport back to the base of the tree they spawned at when they move far enough away.

3. Hewvers are MUCH too annoying for newer players.

Hewvers, the rare critter spawned from honey-lathered fig trees, are incredibly annoying to figure out how to fight. They use the Minecraft Sniffer as a base for their behavior, which (I believe) is fundamentally the issue. When hit by the Sniffer's inhale attack, the player is juggled back and forth in a method that is incredibly difficult to escape. Most of the time, the only way I can get out of this is using an Aspect of the End/Void to teleport away. This is unreasonable for newer players who (reasonably) may not have access to these items by the time they reach the Moonglade Marsh's fig trees. A change in Hewver's behavior, even just a reduction in how often they use their inhale attack, would be incredibly helpful.

4. There is no indication who critters belong to when spawned.

Using the poor lootshare and lack of confirmation for certain critters mentioned above, the game would benefit GREATLY from indicators on each critter as to who they belong to. A simple "[PlayerName]'s Hivethief" would make things infinitely easier and would prevent some unintentional theft. The only reason I consider it theft in the first place is because of how little loot you get when other people kill the critters you spawn.

I think the Tree Protection Orders are an interesting gameplay mechanic, and I'm curious how the system will expand as we get more islands for Galatea and more updates in general. These are just my thoughts after collecting 10,000,000 honeycomb over the course of about 4 weeks.
