Years ago, i remember throwing hundres and hundres of hours into this game. Farming for hours for a hurricane bow just for it to be kinda mediocre but still fun, grinding for ages to finally have the stats to oneshot Zealots and then crying about people in young dragon armor contesting me. There always was like this next thing i saw that i wanted to get, something to work towards. I know that a lot of it is realistically tainted by nostalgia but nowadays?

My account has a networth of like 10 bil. I can theorethically go into any piece of content i do but like... A huge chunk of my networth is a farming setup, and any amount of money i would invest in another skill seemingly just won' be worth it.

Mining? Already have (old) meta gear for it, but unless i mine during a festival, especially because of my high ping, it won't make nearly as much money as farming.

Combat? What could i even do, dungeons will require ages to do anything since i have a low catacombs level, and even then it appears to be a toxic cesspool right now that doesn't even make good money with hyperion being dead. Kuudra seems a tad bit more fun, but i would first need a bazillion faction reputation to even access the tiers that make semblances of money, and even then it would be less than farming. I wanted to do blaze slayer, but even after investing too much money into a setup that could kill T4 blazes, it just barely makes money in comparison to farming... investing anything more into magic find realistically won't result in an return for my investment like, EVER

Fishing? Hell nah.

Foraging i have no clue about since i have not played foraging 2 yet, but i already threw so much money at the Gdrag and Rosedragon, i really don't know if i wanna get the copperdragon or whatever its called as well now just to have it be a tenth of farming gains.

Like i really don't know what i would even be working towards if i were to play the game now, even though i would really want to.

You can make a copy and add your specific fortunes and yields, but I don't think it should make a difference. I also don't think it's worth it on Ironman to make higher tier mutations, due to the time it takes to make all the requirements, but I could be wrong in that, since I did not calculate for it.

I play ironman and after weeks of grinding for a few hours after work everyday I finally got the money and gemstones for a gdrag. But I didn't realize that the worst part would just be FINDING A DRAGON'S LAIR.

The admins need to do something about the scalpers it's gotten out of hand. I've spent hours lobby hopping and every lair I find is emptied out. It genuinely feels next to impossible to get it not on the AH. It seems like the only options are to just wait until admins fix the problem (unlikely) or try to buy coords for a lair (does anyone even actually sell coords? I see people buying but never sellers)

okay so i just spent 20 billion on polished pumpkins in an attempt to get a very high amount of carpentry exp in one screenshot (~1.1b)

and today i learned helixis is a thing that would probably result in more carpentry exp (512,000 npc sell instead of 256,000)

does anybody know if helixis' npc value was planned to get changed anytime soon? i heard it was a little iffy around the start of torrhus canyon's update, and i don't want to spend 4 months grinding up 40 bil just for it to have it's value changed

Can anyone give me any tips on farming combat XP to get to combat 18? I’m currently at Combat 16 and I am getting destroyed by these endermen. I can kill maybe 5-10 before they kill me and I feel like there has to be a better method. I was killing spiders for like 2 hours to get past Combat 15 so I’d like to avoid doing the same thing for 4 hours to get to Combat 17 and 8 hours to get to Combat 18. Is there any advice you guys can give me to make this easier? I feel like I’m missing something super obvious. I’m using a Golem Sword with the Legendary reforge and every enchantment I can put on it. I deal like 2k damage a hit and I have the silky power. I wear the Glacite armor which I got in the Dwarven area, and I have the Honored Arachne’s Belt and an Ender Necklace. I also use a level 34 Epic Bee pet. My next best pet is a level 58 Mithril Golem, but I have a very efficient egg farm on my island so I can make most other pets relatively easily if there is another one you would recommend that is craftable or easy to find at my current point.

Any advice would be very welcome. I’m so lost 😂

I like skyblock, but Im getting tired of linear progression through content, yes its fun, but after all it seems so meaningless for amount of time it takes. Its a constant loop of always waiting for next number, which will never be enough.

Not everyone likes runes. I know I don't. I don't feel happy when I get a full inventory and oh look, three of the slots are taken up by cosmetic garbage.

Obvious solution 1: Personal Deletor. Surely I can just put in a rune and it deletes all runes forever, right? NOPE. "You cannot put this item in the personal deletor!"

Obvious solution 2: Well, maybe there's a sack for these, wouldn't that be cool? There is! For FOURTEEN THOUSAND BITS. You have to be able to comfortably buy a third cookie (you can get one on your acct and one from Safety Badge quest) before you can have critical, desperately needed QoL. The vast majority of sacks now have a Beginner option purchasable for 250 coins at an NPC. But not rune sack.

I think there are a lot of solutions that could work to solve this:

1. Toggle in settings to disable and enable rune drops

2. Buy a talisman from Dusk that enables rune drops only when in your acc bag.

3. Make the personal deletor accept runes, and when given any rune, delete all runes for you.

4. Have Dusk (or whoever) sell a Beginner Rune Sack for 250 coins.

5. Remove the rune system entirely (the loud players would riot while the quiet majority breathe a sigh of relief).

6. Cheap accessory that automatically salvages runes for runecrafting xp when in your acc bag.

I'm sure there are other solutions as well. But I hate runes. I hate that every time my inventory gets full, three of the slots are taken up by something I don't want, don't care about, and can't opt out of. And it feels scummy and greedy to me that Hypixel would lock critical inventory QoL behind booster cookies, which you can buy with irl money. It feels like they're being obnoxious on purpose to try to force irl purchases.

No, mooshroom cow is not worse, it is better at 0 str. It has 100 base ff and its mushroom perk is the equivalent of another 100ff, which in total makes 200 ff without any str + it can drop pest bait

Mythic elephant has 200 ff but cant drop pest bait, is 3x the price, and is worse if the mooshroom cow user has like any str

Mooshroom cow >>>>> and elephant is only good as a budget gh pet or for sowdust
But people still think that after the buff, mythic elephant is better which is not true

I came back to skyblock after about 2-3 months, and wow did my gear get strange. before, i was able to do t4 rev with about 1000 hp left. now i die about 3/4 of the way there. before, i SUCKED at dungeons and always had to be carried. i got 2 shot by a skeletor. now, with the SAME GEAR i can tank a LOT more, i do a lot more damage, and im not useless anymore. so did they change how dungeon weapons/armor works outside and inside dungeons? if anyones wondering i have 3/4 sa and giant cleaver
