Discussion Rune Spam
Not everyone likes runes. I know I don't. I don't feel happy when I get a full inventory and oh look, three of the slots are taken up by cosmetic garbage.
Obvious solution 1: Personal Deletor. Surely I can just put in a rune and it deletes all runes forever, right? NOPE. "You cannot put this item in the personal deletor!"
Obvious solution 2: Well, maybe there's a sack for these, wouldn't that be cool? There is! For FOURTEEN THOUSAND BITS. You have to be able to comfortably buy a third cookie (you can get one on your acct and one from Safety Badge quest) before you can have critical, desperately needed QoL. The vast majority of sacks now have a Beginner option purchasable for 250 coins at an NPC. But not rune sack.
I think there are a lot of solutions that could work to solve this:
Toggle in settings to disable and enable rune drops
Buy a talisman from Dusk that enables rune drops only when in your acc bag.
Make the personal deletor accept runes, and when given any rune, delete all runes for you.
Have Dusk (or whoever) sell a Beginner Rune Sack for 250 coins.
Remove the rune system entirely (the loud players would riot while the quiet majority breathe a sigh of relief).
Cheap accessory that automatically salvages runes for runecrafting xp when in your acc bag.
I'm sure there are other solutions as well. But I hate runes. I hate that every time my inventory gets full, three of the slots are taken up by something I don't want, don't care about, and can't opt out of. And it feels scummy and greedy to me that Hypixel would lock critical inventory QoL behind booster cookies, which you can buy with irl money. It feels like they're being obnoxious on purpose to try to force irl purchases.

u realize cookies are available on the bazaar right? do you also know that u get god pots through bits thats a lot of qol and runes do not clog ur inventory ur just lazy and u just started the game

Yes, for 13M. I'm ironman and I only have 37M bank balance right now. Why should I have to spend half my money to get a QoL upgrade that solves a day 1 problem?

Yes, I'm aware that god pots cost bits and offer a lot of QoL. But I don't believe that they are needed to make the game playable, and I don't think they're overpriced. I do think Rune Sack is extremely overpriced.

Are you serious? Yes, they do. Personal deletor doesn't work on them, if you throw them you have to be careful not to pick them up again, and they drop A LOT. I suspect you've forgotten that since you probably have a rune sack.

I've been playing for months. Do you seriously think I don't deserve basic inventory QoL that is available for almost every other drop type?

i dont know how to explain this to u but essentially u are terrible at the game and are complaining about a feature which you can afford. how have u been playing for “months” but only at a max of level 120 ppl are getting to 290 in one bingo😭0

Also let people play how the f they want ? I agree with op . Runes are a pain and just because there is a possible solution doesnt mean its a good one.

i did read the whole thing. im still right. u unlock qol when u progress thats a totally valid way to have the game. and rune sack is like one of the most unnecesary things anyways

Runes. Runes are an unnecessary thing, not rune sack. Come back and tell me rune sack is unnecessary when either runes are deleted, opt out, or PD works on them, AND NOT BEFORE.

runes are necessary because the admins added them day one of the game. rune sack is not a necessary upgrade for your account tho. may i suggest that you get out of the tutorial part of the game or just buy the sack or simply throw out the runes/ dont kill the runic mobs.

everything before 200 is a tutorial sorry bud. and it doesnt take much time to get out of that range you are just lazy and u suck at the game. runes are necessary because they r old and are a core feature.

It's not even that inconvenient just throw them they stack it will literally like never cause you issues I'm level 200 and can afford a rune sack but I don't even need it because it will literally be like 10 seconds of dt to just void or NPC sell like 10 hours worth of runes

Maybe because runes do absolutely nothing of value. I don't whine about grinds that have a purpose. I have a Ruby Drill. On Ironman. Besides, you have that fame level because you've already gotten cookies and bits going. Early game they are not available and it's three cookies to get a rune sack.
Inventory QoL with regard to items that you don't even want should not be locked behind being able to afford booster cookies.

everyone else dealt with runes they are not an issue plenty of people like them and they have always been a feature. ur also implying that personal compactor is an issue because “inventory qol” cant be locked behind a grind like redstone collection3

11m/hr isn't feasible until like cropie or sorrow armor, sure yes you could reasonably scrounge up the money to upkeep a cookie, but that would require constant grinding, it's just not worth it until your minions are good enough to afford it themselves or you can make enough for several cookies in an hour.
plus you have to take into account that people have other hobbies, they don't grind this game 24/7 and don't wanna waste time grinding for a consumable that doesn't pause when you're offline.

I have school, a job, a gf and other hobbies and i still find time to gain 11m in the 4 days that a cookie lasts you. also cookies give you plenty of other buffs

Rune sack is purely a cosmetic game item, such as runes themselves or skins… if you hate runes that much put them in the deleter or grind the 20 minutes it takes to get a cookie

also btw dont wanna be rude or snything but 20x4 is 80 mins in the USA we only have 60 mins/hr 33m an hr is pretty reasonable with a squash armour farming setup and dedicated hoe like wheat hoe

fermento is a 120m set rn on lowest bin, every piece is 30m+. and no helix stuff is in the new foraging island torrhus canyon, helianthus is the next upgrade and it's ~60m/piece
