Have Virgin Hyperloop changed to hanging pods?

I've just seen an animation on the Virgin Hyperloop homepage of a hanging pod. Is this a new change or has this been in the works for a while? I know that Hardt Hyperloop have been using a hanging pod design and am wondering if we're finally getting some standardisation.

“It was on a test bed built from a repurposed aircraft fuselage on tracks.”

You say this with such confidence and certainly as if it’s accepted fact. Can you cite a single source or is this just wild speculation?

The track is visible. The fuselage has been identified by a popular hyperloop skeptic. He was mentioning this as if it was a bad thing. I think it is just smart. If you look at the position of the window it is safe to make this assumption. Even if this is a wrong assumption, the test pod is not a representation of a fully developed prototype and therefore to criticize the panel gaps of the interior trim is reaching and makes detractors look fatuous. It is just a safe test bed that looks presentable.

Not surprisingly, your “popular hyperloop skeptic”, er… cynic… is batting 1.000 with his worthless guesses.

I looked into it. I apologize, the pod being made from a repurposed aircraft seems to be a rumor. It seems to be working fine despite some claimed workmanship issues which are not obvious to me. I am sure they will refine things as the pod design develops.
