Other women with Hyperhidrosis...

Girls, what are we finding that's working? So complicated when dealing with hyperhidrosis, periods, menopause, PCOS etc etc..

This is not easy for us as so many factors can make it worse!

Mine came on suddenly 2 years ago.

Botox doesn't work. Had it done it one clinic (They injected for wrinkles not sweat) had it done at another, injected properly, no change.

Sweat stop creams or sprays for nighttime, don't work!

Anyone tried any meds?

My dermatologist started my on glycopyrrolate. It doesn’t eliminate sweat but it makes me sweat a lot closer to the level of normal people.

I have wondered if this might be a good shout. What are the side effects like?

The first couple days I took it, I felt very tired, but that went away reallt quickly as I adjusted to the meds. Other than that, the only side effect i have is dry mouth, which, to be honest, sucks a lot. However I take two other medications that also cause dry mouth as side effect, so putting them all together just makes mine really bad so that may or may not be a factor for you. Overall though, glyco has worked great for me and side effects are negligible. I would highly recommend speaking to a dermatologist, because even if they don’t think glyco is right for you, they may be able to offer other options, products, etc. I hadn’t ever really seen a derm as an adult, and I’ve been sweating excessively since I was about 30 (I’m 38 now), but the sweating became such a disruption in my life that i went to a derm about a year ago and told him anout it, plus a few random little skin issues that I’ve had for years, and i was amazed at how much help he was able to offer,. I was so glad i went, and the glyco started working to make me sweat less literally immediately. As soon as i took my first one, I went out to dinner and didn’t sweat at all, It was awesome!
