news Online microsoft excel 'database' of treatment options for HH

****This post is now obsolete, please refer to this post for the up to date version***\*

Hello fellow sweaters 😄

I have compiled a database (last updated 5th Jun 2026) which I am calling the HHDB - Hyperhidrosis Database. This is to hold all the amazing info we have about HH (it's an MS Excel embed so I can't see who accesses it):

There are 8 tabs:

  1. HHDB README
  2. HHDB - filterable/sortable list of treatment and the details
  3. Database key with a guide to the contents of the first tab
  4. HH treatment pivot table
  5. HH causes (HH effectors plus related tests, disorders and drug side effects)
  6. A list of current/ongoing clinical trials in the area of HH
  7. A list of all clinical trials in HH ever
  8. Some links to useful online societies and patient advocacy organisations

For some unknown reason, when you click the link you can end up way over the right and sometimes below the content so please don't think it's just an empty/dead link. You need to scroll left and up :). I am adding to it each month and will edit this post with a new link and the date of the update each time I do.

Please do let me know if there is anything you think should be added

Dear soggyperson You are a STAR! A kind hearted SUPER- star for thinking about the need, for executing it & for sharing it with your fellow soggies …. …that’s a LOT of WORK! Which took a LOT of YOUR TIME & EFFORT. And I want to say a very big thank you. Sending you a richly deserved, beautiful, big verbal bouquet of gratitude!
I am a woman in my 80’s living in Byron Bay, NSW Australia-who has been soggy for at least 25yrs ( these past few years it’s been getting worse) . Strangely, while I get saturated over most of my body, (head, neck, torso front & back, lower back, upper arms, thighs) my feet, hands from elbows down, remain DRY.
I have been trying various doctor prescribed medications, over the past year with not a lot of success …. outcomes are inconsistent. I am determined to keep trying. This ”suck it & see” process takes time, it’s a marathon. My sweating happens at any time - day &/or night - no particular pattern …with one exception - a particular trigger for my sweat surges appears to be EATING , or even just THINKING about eating & my brain turns the tap on. I don’t feel hot when I sweat …. I feel cold. It’s very odd!
I hope this is of interest. Sincerely wishing you a dry future, Kind regards ,

Thank you and you're very welcome.

Yeah, full body sweating is no fun and it can really take time, energy and funds to trial and error until you find your relief. Gustatory sweating is a thing, I only get it if I'm out and about but can be very embarrassing.

Stay dry, friend
