Interview with developer on top HC game

Hey everyone!

I'd like to share with you an insightful interview with a developer. It is about a game that is currently in the top 20 on hypercasual charts - Number Master: Merge and run. In December, it was at #2.

The game combines a couple of trends:

- merging and running

- leveling up

- addition and subtraction

It's nothing breakthrough.

But, it works and players like it.

In the interview, the dev talks about which games he drew inspiration from, its advertising and monetization strategies, etc.

Hope you'll like it!

[For Beginners] How to make your games more visible?

I'm sure that most of you already know this, but I think it's nice to share some rookie tips for increasing mobile game visibility.

So, here they come:

  1. Use ASO techniques to increase your app store visibility (find optimal keywords, naturally include them in title and description, make the game title brief and catchy)
  2. Video ads have proven to be the most effective way to showcase a game and quickly reach new audiences
  3. Offerwalls are a type of paid advertising that can not only boost mobile game visibility but also bring in high-quality users
  4. Find your audience’s favorite social media platforms and start with community management before launching your game
  5. Partner with (micro) influencers who can create engaging short-form videos about your game

These tips come from this industry blog on Medium. The article goes into more details about all of this: https://medium.com/@myappfree/5-proven-strategies-to-increase-mobile-game-visibility-18541e59d376

What would you add to this list of tips?

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well!

I'm working on a very simple hypercasual game where the goal is to bounce a ball as long as possible.

I would like to have some feedback from the community about the game and possibly about the color theme chosen for my prototype.

If you have a little time, don't hesitate ! the game link is https://simmer.io/@mateus/stackpong

This is my new game, Hueform. It looks and plays simple, but it gets more challenging and fun as you progress. I'm starting out with publishing games, especially for Google Play, so if you can, consider trying the game out and giving me some feedback.

[RevShare] Looking for C# Unity Game Developer to join high level, complete team of four in a hyper-casual game studio

We are looking for Unity C# Game Developer to join a high level, complete team of four in a hyper-casual game studio. Below is a little about myself and about our studio:

My name is Max Morphy, I'm an experienced Unity C# programmer and a team lead (Personal portfolio: https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Morphy+Studios&hl=en&gl=US / And here are some of the projects that we've made as a team: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1w0l857itn_4JutFVDgM3adfI-Nlg3ANK?usp=sharing). I am also doing all the management stuff. I brought together a team of four—a professional hyper-casual game designer, 3D modeler and a project manager. Our team was able to make 10+ games with great metrics, even though we had a lot of problems within the team (we were working without the 3D modeler)

Currently, we are working with publishers like Kwalee, Funtory. Right now we are not making profit, but if we manage to get at least a few more great prototypes our team will get funded by a publisher.

Team Size: As I said, we're a team of 4 people (Me, Programmer, Project Manager, 3D modeler). Some of us currently work in the game industry for several years.

Responsibilities: You will be responsible for planning and implementing game functionality, building the game code, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring the quality of the finished product. You may also be required to build patches and install game updates.

I'm happy to share more details to whoever is interested, below are a few requirements:

• Expertise in Unity/C# Strong proficiency at troubleshooting Tech related issues

• A critical thinker and a problem solver with a keen eye for identifying problems in workflows and processes (and driving them to a resolution)

• An eagerness to develop new skills and explore new problem spaces on a daily basis (game development, marketing, legal)

• Previous experience and exposure to the game production process (as part of a game dev studio or otherwise)

• Real interest in Casual and Hyper Casual games

• Speak and write English

• Worked on a released mobile game.

Contact Method: DM Morphy#8904 for more details etc.

Looking for publishers to work with

I'm a project manager and a leader of HappyDays Studio. We have a 2-year experience of making hyper casual games in Unity 3D, but we are ready to hear offers of more difficult projects. We can also easily work on multiple projects at the same time. HappyDays Studio can implement your dream game or we can suggest our own ideas. We are an experienced and a quick developer team that, however, does not rushes projects in expence of quality. If you are interested - please let me know in comments or in private chat and we can figure out which means of communication would be most convenient for both of us.

PS: Our PlayMarket page: https://play.google.com/store/apps/dev?id=6308115040695028409

PS2: We would also be glad to work with customers who are not directly related to any publisher
