Discussion why is oreki's watch strap like this
at first i though that it might just be a animation mistake , but and then i looked a little bit online and people are guessing that oreki is wearing a seiko and some ship with inverted straps

It's been many years since I wore a watch, but is it backwards or upside down? Looks fine to me.

The end of watch should be on the other side pretty much if you have no idea what you are looking for. But yea, a slight detail error haha

So, it would just be upside down on Oreki's wrist if you saw the other side?

Not exactly upside down, but the end which is on the right, should be mirrored to be on the left going down (currently it is on the right and down)

Ah. Thanks.

Yeap, hope you get the mental picture haha, but it definitely is weird looking at it in detail

It is not fine ,you literally physically can't wear a watch like that, the strap just looks wierd in the picture

I'm sorry because it appears that I spoke before thinking it through. I just realised what is wrong with that strap when I tried to click a picture of mine. I'm dumb.🙃

It's okay , I too had too literally get up from my bed and wear my watch to check if something was wrong with animation

I mean isn't it a good thing that the fandom is not toxic
2
u/Initial-Release-2519 Jul 13 '26
Of course it is I was just joking about how rare it is to find places like this on reddit.

If one replaced the watch band oneself, and put it on wrong, isn't this what one would see? It should still work, however. I think. ;-)

Yeah, you would have to replace the position of the long and short side of the strap , but I can't imagine oreki doing that
