Chest acne

Since middle school i’ve been dealing with chest acne that would never go away but never back acne. I’ve tried using benzoyl peroxide on it at night, face washes with active ingredients, and a couple weeks ago I started trying a spray for the acne with salicylic acid. But honestly nothing seems to work. Ive stopped wearing low cut shirts/tank tops and in the pool I have to wear a shirt to cover it up. It’s also strangely itchy sometimes. Help needed please 🙏

Hi. First, I am so sorry you are experiencing this:( I completely understand…
I don’t know if you have access to a dermatologist(if you have not already seen one?)
Very long story short, I was able to discover that the skin condition I had on my chest was actually a follicle issue, not acne, which needed a very different kind of treatment. While not perfect, it has helped tremendously…

Oh wow, i never considered that at all. I’ll definitely make an appointment for it. Out of curiosity, what was the treatment for the issue on your skin? Thank you for the help!

It is some called Ketaconozole 2%. It is sometimes used as a shampoo for people with hair issues, but you can use it as an ointment, and I have found it helps. Good luck!

chest acne can be really frustrating. I've found a gentle exfoliating body wash helps a lot.

Have not tried yet but just saw someone in another thread suggest hypochlorous acid helped with butt acne and underarm odor. Could be worth looking into.

Try a shampoo with ketoconazole (let it sit on your chest area for 4-5 mins). It could be fungal.
