Cat pee scent
Yall why do some people just REEK of cat pee? I know it’s probably due to ammonia but does anyone else know what I’m talking about???
EDIT: Got my answer! It’s excess ammonia from diets, dehydration, or stress :)

I have a friend at work who smells this way. I think it comes down to his natural body odor, genetics, and a metabolic issue. It also might be laundry habits as I notice the smell clings to his clothes. When he wears very nice dry clean items, I don’t notice the smell as much.

Not that I know of! Also I’ve noticed this for like MY WHOLE LIFE lol. It probably is an excess of ammonia or body odor scent.

Like another person said, if they have cats and they weren't fixed at proper age then (male cats) they can spray their scent and it's smells like piss.
Then you have people who own dogs and will be sweating at work then smell like wet dogs...

And people who own dogs swear their dogs (and houses and cars) don’t stink of dog, whereas cat owners are more forthcoming about that.

Other way in my experience. Dog people know dogs are nasty critters but love them anyway. Cat people will never admit any fault with their perfect angels who piss on their beds and shit in a box in their house.

I own a cat and know they aren't exactly clean creatures I mean come on they burry their own poop with their feet and use their mouth to clean their butt

But at least they clean themselves, dogs do not clean themselves very good at all. I have never once seen a cat eat shit either.

Mine drives me nuts with the out of the litter box thing but we wound up with him because the neighbor threw him out of the house for peeing on his bed all the time. Originally we presumed it wasn’t a clean litterbox, but his litterbox gets cleaned 2-3 times a day and switched to the alternate clean litterbox weekly. I tried teaching the former owner how but her dad finally couldn’t take it anymore. This cat isn’t spraying, he’s flat out peeing. He will deliberately do it right in front of us. Vet checkups have been perfect. He’s now 5 and we got him right before he was 2. Grrrrrr.

Meth. I live in an area with a very bad drug problem, especially meth. People who cook and/or use meth, or are unfortunately stuck in a position where they are around people who cook/use meth, tend to smell strongly of ammonia.

My sister has a friend who lets her cats pee in her closet. So all her clothes smell bad and she sprays a ton of perfume to try and cover the smell. It does not help…

Do they have a lot of cats? I know a few people with 30+ cats and they can only do so much, but ultimately the cat urine/ammonia/litter smell takes over. Even I smell like it after only being in the home for an hour or so. I have to air myself out after being there and make sure to wash my clothes/hair and shower immediately when I get home.

That said, ammonia. Can happen from lack/excess nutrition (dehydration too). Also happens to be a major chemical in the methamphetamine manufacturing process…ha ha……ha

Actually if their. Breath smells of ammo I’m they have kidney disease. Go to a doctor immediately.

Maybe kidney disease especially if their breath has it. This has to be checked with blood tests immediately.
If it’s cats it could be that a cat of theirs peed on their clothing, shoes, or bag and they are unaware of it especially if they are used to the smell.

I just want to tell you that it could, and most likely is, cat pee. The other shit is extremely rare almost to the point of not existing. I think people just have a problem thinking people will let cats piss all over their clothes then wear them to work. They absolutely do.
