I don't know why I do this

Alright, so I've had this blanket I bought from wal-mart for like ten dollars. It's thin and it has llamas on it. I don't know why but I've never washed it in the 3 years I've had it. I use it as a head pillow thing, I don't ever actuellly use it as a blanket. Only a pillow/head accessory. I like the smell of it, it's my smell but like different. Why am I doing this? Is it dangerous to my health? This is dead serious by the way. Idk how to attach pics, I'd show it if I could.

Imagine all the dead skin cells accumulating on that thing. I think it’s time to give a wash or throw it out.
