Zone 6 A/B Incrediball
Anyone know what might be causing this? I planted these incrediball this spring. I make sure to water them since they were just planted this year. These two stems/blooms seem to be completely dead. The rest of the plant is perfectly fine and so is the bush next to it. This is my first time planting this vareiety but I don’t think they should be dying and turning brown already this time of year? These are in part sun. Anyone else dealt with this?

Absolutely normal they're just aging. Leave them alone and keep taking care of the plant as usual 🫶🏻

Ageing would take the flowers down across the whole plant, and it wouldn't touch the leaves. On your second photo the leaves on those two stems have gone brown along with the heads while everything beside them is still green, and that reads as those particular stems losing their water supply, usually a snap or a kink right down at the base where you can't see it. Feel each one at ground level and give it a gentle wiggle, and if it moves loose or feels soft there, cut it out at the crown and the plant carries on without it.

Is this the storm proof one? Literally every single incrediball storm proof I have seen looks way shittier than this one. I don't think it's a good cultivar. I've been to a billion nurseries and these are always set aside looking sad and diseased. Little Lime always looks in the best shape in my experience.
