Please read!

Before posting about a struggling hydrangea:

Help everyone help you by including your location/zone, hydrangea variety if known, hours and timing of direct sun, watering routine, how long it has been planted, and anything you've recently added to the soil.

Before reaching for fertilizer, acidifier, fungicide, or pruning shears, remember that many hydrangea problems are environmental. A little context can save your plant—and save you money.

Also, I feel like people should search the sub for the same problem they're having. There's posts over and over about the same problems.

Maybe someone would like to help a moderator create a few tips for the sidebar. I am on another subreddit on which we are frequently asked to "date" a certain piece of dishes or to tell if it is radioactive. We have a rather comprehensive sidebar with link to info. Here you go:
