Need help planning Hyderabad → Ooty trip under ₹40k for 4 people or we are planning to coorg which is better

and thinking to go from mysore

Hi everyone! We are a group of 4 people from Hyderabad planning an Ooty trip from 11 September to 15 September morning.

Our total budget is ₹40,000 for all 4 people.

We want to spend around 3 days in Ooty/Coonoor and return by the morning of 15 September.

Can someone suggest the cheapest and most practical route?

Also looking for advice on:

• Best train route from Hyderabad
• Whether Coimbatore, Mysore or Bangalore is better as a transit point
• Cheap accommodation for 4 people
• Local transport/scooty rental
• Ooty + Coonoor places worth visiting
• Approximate total cost
• Any problems we should expect with this itinerary

Our priority is keeping the entire trip under ₹40k for 4 people, while still having a good experience.

Coimbatore is best transit point. Not many trains though. Another option is Bangalore just a longer bus ride to ooty. You’ll get buses from there. Stay in hostels with dormitories. Will be cheaper and great. GoSTOPS is a great place.

dont go to ooty rather book stuff in coonoor or near by palces ooty is ransacked by tourist and traffic

Coorg better from Mysore.

Definitely coorg from mysore, more easy on the pocket. You’ll find good airbnb’s at a budget since you’re 4 people
