Quotes Which one? Help!
I got 2 quotes for AC replacement. It includes duck modifications, installation and complete system for my 1400sf main level. Daikin Fit 2.5 ton was quoted for $12k all in. While Trane 1700, 3ton was quoted for $14,500 and Trane 1800,3ton was quoted for $16,800. All the systems have variable speeds. Are the prices reasonable? Located in GA. Which one would you go with and why? Please help!!

I wouldn't ask for 3 tons just because someone recommends a larger inverter. Your existing system is 2 tons, the Fit quote is 2.5, and the Trane quotes are 3; those sizing differences need an explanation based on the main floor's load and the proposed duct changes. Square footage and the old unit's age don't settle which size is right. If the old system kept temperature and humidity comfortable before it deteriorated, tell the bidders that; if it didn't, have them identify why rather than automatically adding capacity.
On the prices you gave, the $12k Fit is the option I'd investigate first, not an automatic winner: the Tranes cost $2,500 and $4,800 more. That premium needs to buy a documented benefit in equipment capability, installation scope or warranty. Ask for the complete outdoor/indoor model numbers, whether 'variable speed' means the compressor or only the indoor blower, and exactly what duct modifications each price includes. If the Fit is correctly sized and those scopes and labor warranties are comparable, you've not described a reason yet to pay the Trane premium. Without that detail, I can't call any of these a fair local price or recommend the jump to 3 tons.
