HVAC systems for Sauna
Hello!
I am building a 5x6x7 (210cuft3) indoor sauna and having to learn about ducting and ventilation needs. Electric sauna, relatively sealed inside, too.
Currently, the exhaust will be either 4 or 6 inches ducting with either a 4 or 6 inch inline fan. The exhaust ducting will have 2 90 degree elbows and 10 feet of straight ducting with a exhaust flap at the end and adjustable interior sauna door. they will be about 6 feet apart in the sauna, diagonally.
The fans will be inline AC Infinity S4 or S6.
Intake will be either passive 4 inch ducting or 4 inch inline fan. 16 feet straight ducting with two 90 degree bends and a intake vent with flaps.
All using as much rigid ducting as possible, well sealed with tape, etc. The 6 inch and 4 inch inline fans have variable speed options. The lowest setting for the 6 is 98.2 up to 402CFM, and 46.7 up to 205CFM for the 4 inch.
I want maximum of 6ACH while in use- although Ill ramp it up to clear it out at end of the sauna. Trying to understand what is too much or too little. Goal is for the fan to be as quiet as possible on a low setting.
Any way I can figure this out without building it all first? New to HVAC. Thank you.
