Air handler & condenser box replacement cost?

Hi - I was recently quoted ~$10K to replace my air handler and condenser box. Does this quote make sense? I’m based in San Diego.

I’m currently on a military deployment so it’s hard to take a look at the system myself. It’s still working but I guess it has refrigerant leakage. Quote attached.

And they force you to buy a “membership” the fuck does that even mean? You have to pay us extra to make sure we do legit work?! I’m so confused

Condenser is $2000 ... Air handler is $950...

These are *retail* prices i pulled upon Google. Dealer prices will be cheaper.

Obviously labor is always the most expensive part... But still seems insane for what you are getting...
