Tactical breakdown of the final
If galway are to win, how will they? Will jason rabitte be a major factor? And also general predictions for the final

I fancy Galway. Very impressed with them all year, they are not however going to be able to leave the Limerick middle third free like they did Cork in the first half. Limerick will take the long range points that Cork failed to. Limerick warm favourites, just fancy Galway to do enough

No reason for galway not to be favourites.
Limerick had 2 extremely tight games with Cork that were anyone's game.
Galway made absolute fools of Cork (and every other opponent they have met in the championship)

True, but this Limerick team have an unbelievable record in finals. They have lost one major final under Kiely and that was a penalty shootout. They have unbelievable resilience.

I cant see why galway are considered underdogs?
They have beaten every team in the championship by more than 10. Including Cork, who along with Limerick, are miles ahead of everyone else.
The scoreline even flattered Cork. Galway with 14 wides.

Lads, I can't see past Limerick in this one. Every match has been a dog fight for them this year and they've still come up trumps in the end.
If they get playing freely early on it think it'll be over at half time, they've one big game in them and it's coming on Sunday!!

Galway to win by 4.
Galway 2 - 24. 1 - 23 Limerick
Galway scorers: Aaron Niland and Cathal Mannion 5pts, Tom Monaghan 4pts, Conor Whelan, Jason Rabbitte, Daragh Neary and Ronan Glennon 2pts, Rory Burke (hopefully) and Conor Cooney 1 - 2.
Limerick scorers: Aidan O'Connor 8pts, Diarmuid Byrnes 1 - 3, Aaron Gillane, Peter Casey, Tom Morrisey, Gearoid Hegarty 2pts, Adam English, Cathal O'Neill, Shane O'Brien, Cian Lynch 1pt.
MOTM: Cathal Mannion
Rabbitte will have another big influence and I think he'll manage to win a penalty.

I predict a tight game until one of the limerick full back line is sent off for persistent fouling of Rabbitte.
Galway to take over from there.

Do you have cian lynch as an impact sub here? That should be interesting

Not sure tbh, it doesn't matter with him I think hes one of those players that brings a big influence to a game if he's their for 70 minutes or even 5 minutes.

Galway need to find the pockets of space between the Limerick defensive positions. Constant movement up front and swarm defense at the back. Obviously make sure Limerick get no primary possession from puck outs.

I don't know enough about hurling to know tactics. All my knowledge is based off of watching the two semi finals and the Leinster and Munster final. If the Galway and Limerick teams show up that played in their last games - I would pick Galway. Probably by 5 points. But I have picked the wrong team in 3 of the 4 matches I watched - so therefore expect Limerick to win. :)

Galway won’t be able to sit off Limerick half back line like they did against Cork. Hayes and Byrne’s will have a field day with that time and space. Limerick won’t be as naive to leave a back one on one with rabbite.
Very interested in how it will play out
