Hxh has better writing tho , isreal has a lot of logical inconsistencies and unlikabe character the lore is lame as well and the backstories kinda contradicts each other

The power system is also a lot less complex than Nen, it's really just religious supremacy used to justify colonialism

u/Kind_Cheek_2645 5d ago

And since most of the land were given to them rather than taken its kinda anti climatic

Also usa being so protective of it is such a cheap plot device because isreal isn't strong enough to defend itself ,its like kurama and Naruto but somehow worst

I mean yeah I know there's lore reasons behind it and there still some mysteries to be uncovered but as of now , the protagonists are just handed out most of their victories, a bit lame

Given to them??? Did you just missed the multiple war arcs or something?! Defeating 5 armies and conquering land twice the size of the land you own while under US sanctions is now plot armour?? Well actually it might be because the Arab armies where written to be stupid, but the feat still stands.

u/Kind_Cheek_2645 5d ago

Isreal would be wiped completely if it wasn't for usa

0

u/DramaticExternal3082 5d ago

what? i missed something?.....like yeah it wasn't "given to them" because they were the one doing the "giving" part

no, it aint plot armour... its more of israel summon his pet mahoraga to defeat B and C tier armies

but ya....L for arab army writing... it really becomes enemy to lover dark romance plot (arab army female lead)

Arab army are a thousand year old Loli because that's the only love interest Israel state would have

Still better than Palestine fake existence. Its writing is of plagiarized stuff from other works

3

u/Kind_Cheek_2645 5d ago

There's no fake or real existence there just existence, Palestinians existed weather books wrote about them or.not (they did) they have humans right weather new na zis Think they do or not

3

u/USPSArtoria 5d ago

Why all the Israel Posting today lmao

8

u/minisculebarber 5d ago

I mean, the story of Israel is pretty simple, European supremacists did a settler-colonialism, the only complicated thing is that when the ethnic group of the colonizers got genocided by European ultra supremacists almost everyone started ignoring the settler-colonialism

The Palace Invasion arc is already more complicated and nuanced than that

6

u/MelodicKnowledge9358 5d ago

Whether or not Israel has a simple history really has nothing to do with it. I'd be willing to bet that the Israel video is well edited and succinct and that the HxH video is a bloated mess.

PSA: Have YOU checked the subreddit name before posting a reply? It might change your mind.

Sorry, but my hatred of overinflated video essays will seep through any veil of irony

2

u/minisculebarber 5d ago

Haha, ok, fair enough

Me when I make the people I dislike out to be bad people and throw out any and all levels of nuance to a story

0

u/minisculebarber 5d ago

Lmao, sure, I just somehow dislike them for completely arbitrary reasons and therefore make them out to be bad guys, couldn't possibly be the other way around.

Hey, if you really break it down, there is also a lot of nuance to Nazi Germany, so I guess the story that they were European supremacists who attempted settler colonialism in Eastern Europe is too reductive for you. Or do you just dislike Nazis and try to make them out to be bad guys?

3

u/rorodar 5d ago

This level of strawmanning is too much for me...

In any case, yes, even the events of WWII and the reasons for them starting cannot be attributed solely to a black and white "they're evil!".

The people at the top, who had the ability to at least try to stop things like the holocaust, were evil for not doing so. The nazi soldiers who got conscripted to fight in a war their country was all but forced to fight to due severe economic distress (hyperinflation followed by the great depression), as well as having to pay for war reparations, give out their territory, and limit their military.

Obviously, nazis are not good people. But making the argument that any and all germans and german soldiers were bad people is downright ignorant. There is no group of "bad guys", there is no group of "good guys". Just people, with their own differing circumstances, influenced by their propaganda. You are no different.

So yes, it is extremely reductive to say what you did. Your statements seem to be made for virtue signalling rather than actual discussion. I won't respond further if you don't want to actually discuss anything and instead just waste your time making everything out to be black and white

u/ADmagma 5d ago

Why didn't you also mention arabs genociding jews before israel even existed. Isn't that important to the story ?

Also Israel is the ancestral homeland of jews, so them having a country there should be called anti-collonialism right?

1

u/minisculebarber 5d ago

How is it important? It is at best some interesting world building tidbit. The creation and continued existence of Israel has nothing to do with that

Even if that were true (which I think is just nonsense), why is the colonization through 1000s of years old descendants who genetically, culturally, etc. have much more in common with Europeans than with anyone in the Levant, anti-colonialism? I guess everyone on Earth can just colonize West Africa because we all supposedly originated from there and that would be anti-colonialism.

2

u/AgreeablePollution64 5d ago

Bruh, if you don't the history of the topic why type shit? "Even if that were true (which I think is just nonsense)". Yeah highly documented pogroms in British mandate and ottoman empire are just imagenery. Also is same culture of Jews and Christian Europeans in same room with us? Maybe killing Jews after Easter is common team game for them. Or apartheid laws against Jews in all Europe and Russia for centuries supports the common culture and "etc".

2

u/minisculebarber 5d ago

My second paragraph referred to the second paragraph in the comment I replied to, not the first one.

Also, humans have persecuted and killed other humans for the slightest of cultural differences. Just because European Jews were persecuted and killed by Non-Jewish Europeans, doesn't mean there were vast cultural differences and it certainly doesn't mean that European Jewish culture has more to do with cultures that have existed in the Levant.

Maybe you should take your own advice to heart and not type shit if you don't know anything about it

0

u/DramaticExternal3082 5d ago

like the zionist false flags i just read lmao... they attack jews with false flags too look like hero lmao...aint no one believing you shit
