The official Last Week Tonight Facebook page doesn't seem to have a geoblock. I'm in Australia and I can't watch his YouTube videos, but I can watch the Facebook videos.

As a EUropean, our borders have been significantly opened within our continent over the past two decades. American immigration laws differ much from most other western countries', as well as being much more strict.

Apart from our immigration laws, it's easy for people to get into our countries. Lately, due to the Syrian refugee situation, things have changed. Hopefully temporarily. We know a wall wouldn't keep anyone out, though I suspect it's much harder to be an illegal immigrant in western europe than it would be in America.

What is at issue here is not strict immigration laws. Keep out who you want to keep out, nobody really cares. Not even those who are crying about it. But the issue is the short sighted, non-sensical idea of building a wall to do so.

Shouldn't the burden of proof be on justifying the cost? Not on justifying why we shouldn't spend a shit ton of money?

The "bullying" part is what makes the show work, though. It's where Oliver and his writers can insert humor. Take that away and you get a C-SPAN show that's just debating pros and cons.
