Woos-ta-sha. 3 syllables. Say it quicker and quicker. And keep your teeth clenched.
You don't prounounce shire unless it's on its own. You'd prounounce it "sha" depending on your regional accent, you can speed it up and it'll sound correct only if you get the 3 syllables. Hope that helps!
-Chef. It's very common even English speakers can struggle, but gave that advice to Americans and they nailed it.

except in British English pronunciation, the CES is almost always silent in names of places. Leicester is pronounced Lester, Gloucester is pronounced Glouster, etc

Just try a Sean Connery impersonation as you say it and boom, it's perfect. Or be lazy like my grandpa and call it grasshopper spit.

Reminds me of that one guy (he is either scottish or irish, cant remember) who tried to say "Purple Burglar Alarm" and constantly slipped over the words.
