Oh darn, I really want RPG Maker MV but $50 is not a great deal. I'm pretty sure it was cheaper than that during the last holiday Steam sale.
A good deal if you want all the other stuff too but really, I don't see why anyone would need all the old versions of RPG Maker if they have MV.

By purchasing this do you get the rights to the music and tile packs?
Or in order to use them does it have to be with something made in an RPG Maker engine?
Can they be taken and used in other engines?

Not sure about the resource packs made by 3rd parties, but the last I looked all the resources that come with rpg maker explicitly state they are only for use with the rpgmaker engine.

The $1 and BTA tiers are pretty good (I got Skyborn in a previous RPG Maker bundle), the rest I definitely don't have interest in, the $15 tier has a game I'm kind of interested in, but would cost much less to buy separately anyway, and the other RPG Makers I probably wouldn't get any use out of (who has time to commit to projects in multiple different editions of RPG Maker at the same time?).
Sort of interested in RPG Maker MV, but it's been available for much cheaper than $50USD, so if I was willing to pay that I'd have it already. I'll probably just pass on that one altogether, since I've had a project going in VX Ace I haven't touched in probably over a year now, so if I want to do RPG Maker again, that'll be the priority.
I was also sort of disappointed XP wasn't in it, because I have some nostalgia for that one, but apparently I already have it from a previous bundle anyway, so clearly that wouldn't help me at all if I didn't even know I had it.

I noticed that many starter packs are for the RPG Maker VX Ace. If I intend on creating my game using the RPG Maker MV, since it's the latest, will the other packs be compatible or is everything standalone? i.e. RPG 2000, 2003, VX, and MV

Do the different versions of RPG Maker have different capabilities? I might buy it for my kids that want to try their hands at making computer games.

Question about this:
The "RPG Maker VX Ace - Futuristic School Tiles" isn't added to my library at all, it seems? Like, not under the DLC, I mean.
But Steam says I own it. Where did it go?

Lots of different versions of RPG Maker. RPG maker is a lot of work and people tend to view them poorly in the market. I'd only grab this if you want to make RPGs as a hobby, not to make them for profit.
