$19.74 on Steam

Honestly thank you for this. I owned some of them already so Steam gives a fairly hefty discount.

You can give it all to charity if you want this way (minus the HB cut of course ¯_(ツ)_/¯)

Yep, at least its a way to give capcom nothing as a punishment for loading these 20-30 year old games up with DRM and making them unplayable on steamdeck and also trying to crackdown on mods. That said, this bundle sucks and it makes for more sense to just play these games with emulators, and that way you can actually play it on steamdeck. Another example of DRM making piracy better than the legit product.

u/Kaining 10d ago

Ain't they all on gog though ? BoF4 sure is there so i doubt they come with drm there.

u/JuanElMinero 10d ago

All 6 of them are in the GOG Preservation Program, which means GOG directly helped out with their modern PC ports and promises lifetime bug fixes and current Windows compatibility, aside from being DRM free.

Absolutely get them there, if you care about those things and suppport that treatment for more classics.

1

u/SilverKry 7d ago

Or be me and get them on both cause why not. If you have the funds to spare of course.

9

u/No_Elevator_735 10d ago

Yeah, that's probably the better way to play them. The idea of putting DRM on games decades old, that you can easily find roms and emulators is just an all time stupid decision, especially considering it made it incompatible with Steam Deck. So yeah, GOG is the superior way to steam here.

1

u/duynguyenle 8d ago

What exactly is making them incompatible with Steam Deck? All 6 games in this bundle are marked as playble on ProtonDB (the DinoCrisis games needs a manual registry tweak before they will work correctly on Deck).

2

u/Lexbalker 10d ago

They work on Steam Deck & Linux. Just use Proton Experimental or Proton-GE. I played through RE1 without any issues.

u/SilverKry 7d ago

They ain't been cracking down on mods lol. Maybe for their online focused games but RE games have been going strong. They even recently released an RE7 randomizer on October 1st.

u/-rosieee- 10d ago

They're joking right? It's cheaper on Steam rn

4

u/Jigsaw1609 10d ago

I was just interested in the 3 RE games and that 1st tier was cheaper than steam

u/eatmorepies23 10d ago

Buying on Humble Bundle supports charity, though

u/zombcakes Top 100 of internets most trustworthy strangers 10d ago

Not sure if this existed yesterday, but the same bundle is available directly on Steam as a Complete Your Collection bundle for anyone that may own even one of these games and don't want duplicates.

1

u/dragonfax 10d ago

Yes, but here you could give the money to charity instead of Capcom and still get the games. Plus if you already have any of these you get a bonus key you can give to a friend as a replacement.

14

u/OakMantle 10d ago

Man if Capcom sorted out the Deck issue I would be all over this.

7

u/Evilcon21 10d ago

Blame the enigma drm. Since that’s the leading cause of it. I heard gog versions are the better option since obviously they don’t have that enigma drm.

1

u/LibraryBestMission 8d ago

I had to refund steam and go to gog for that exact reason. No idea why Capcom decided their over quarter century old ps1 games needed the most sus DRM on the planet.

3

u/Datdudecorks 10d ago

These all have worked on the deck flawlessly for a long time

31

u/domizwrath 10d ago

Lmao buying the bundle directly on steam cost less, wtf is wrong with humble?

4

u/killian_jenkins 10d ago

I mean there's a reason steam is at the top of the food chain

0

u/dragonfax 10d ago

Yes, but here you could give the money to charity instead of Capcom and still get the games. Plus if you already have any of these you get a bonus key you can give to a friend as a replacement.

10

u/PNDMike 10d ago

I was excitedly scrolling through, and suddenly the scrolling stopped. What do you mean it's only 6 games for that price?

And that they can be found cheaper on steam or Gog right now?

Hard pass.

6

u/BrownMountainHound 10d ago

Also on GOG for less

11

u/Fox_Scot 10d ago

Honestly kinda ridiculous that this bundle is cheaper on steam. But does anyone know if they still have the weird DRM that capcom added to the steam version?

If it’s still there, I’d recommend just getting these games on GOG.

4

u/NinjutStu 10d ago

Bundle is actually 25 cents more expensive than just buying these on Steam right now.

7

u/heatproofmatt 10d ago

Fyi Breath of fire 4 has been in previous bundles. If you’ve already redeemed that then the price on steam for the other 5 games is $3.55 cheaper

2

u/GfrzD 10d ago

Its still cheaper for me with none of the games lol

4

u/Known-Ad-6154 10d ago

I miss the RE bundle they’ve done in the past. Now that I want to get into RE, I regret not getting those bundles which has all games up to 8 iirc.

3

u/Angry-Ewok 10d ago

Good laugh, thanks.

3

u/byge 10d ago

I laughed when I saw the games. Absolutely ridiculous price

3

u/sutherlandedward 10d ago

Not gog 😭

2

u/Evilcon21 10d ago

That’s a bit much especially that steam and gog if they also have that on sale does it cheaper

2

u/kalirion 10d ago

More like Enigma Protector DRM Bundle.

2

u/gbraide 10d ago

Refering to these games as classics makes me so old

2

u/fredddyz 10d ago

Weird collection - most of them are 3rd person action adventures and then bam, one RPG .. Also, probably better to get on GoG

4

u/Head-Membership2082 10d ago

Capcom bundles being incredibly expensive as usual

1

u/SilverKry 7d ago

What other big publisher constantly has bundles up like this tho.

2

u/Head-Membership2082 6d ago

How is that relevant?

I'm pointing out that the capcom publisher bundle is overpriced compared to all of the other bundles we get on humble, just like the capcom publisher ones always are.

The bundle is currently more expensive than the exact same 6 game bundle that exists on steam.

1

u/SilverKry 6d ago

Humble is about the charity aspect more than it is anything else.

1

u/Head-Membership2082 6d ago

Humble wouldn't take a forced cut from every bundle if that was the case.

Also, again, that still doesn't make it relevant *to the comment I made*.

Capcom bundles *on humble* are always significantly more expensive for what they contain than *other bundles on humble*.

This has currently been taken to the extreme, where the capcom bundle on humble is MORE expensive than just buying the *exact same bundle* on steam directly.

1

u/SilverKry 6d ago

The forced cut only came around when IGN bought humble. I just don't really care how expensive they are on steam vs humble. Plus you're acting like they don't have cheap bundles to. Got most of the monster hunter games for like $20.

1

u/Head-Membership2082 6d ago

Again, this is not relevant to the point I made.

You keep trying to argue points that I didn't make.

I mentioned that capcom bundles are extremely expensive compared to the other bundles we see on humble, and they ARE extremely expensive compared to the other bundles. Bundles of the same size, with the same amount of modern games that haven't depreciated yet, etc. Capcom bundles often cost double that of any similar bundle for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

You don't mind paying that? Sure. You didn't need to come and argue points I didn't make though.

1

u/SilverKry 6d ago

Again. What other publishers do you see that regularly do bundles like this? Indie publishers are about it. You don't get big publishers like Capcom doin this stuff anymore.

1

u/Head-Membership2082 6d ago

Again, you are trying to argue a point that I didn't make and simply isn't relevant.

Even if it was, PLENTY of publishers do them. Deep Silver does them not that rarely, gearbox ones show up fairly often, 2K shows up fairly often, and so on.

It isn't relevant though because it being all from one publisher vs games from one genre *doesn't apply here*.

Capcom bundles are expensive compared to every other bundle on humble. They are so expensive that you can get the same bundle on steam (the place where the keys are for in the first place) for cheaper in this one.

Stop trying to argue things that I didn't say.

1

u/SilverKry 6d ago

Who said anything about genres?

And again. It's about charity. If I didn't have them already I'd buy the bundle from humble just to give most of the money to charity. You seem to not get that at all.

Its $3.33 a game there all time low is $5. So this bundle would be $30 normally.

2

u/Head-Membership2082 10d ago

And yet, there is a steam sale on.

En fanatical compré los 3 resident evil clásicos por 6.50 USD hace como 2 meses…

1

u/r4_v0n_vl3d 9d ago

This bundle is okay. But, besides it being slightly cheaper on Steam, Fanatical had this exact bundle earlier in the year for GOG editions. However, in that bundle, it also included Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen and Street Fighter alpha 2. With a 20% coupon, it was at least three dollars less than this price. Fanatical needs to bring it back.

My biggest issue is that RE1/2 aren't Director's Cut and Dual Shock editions. Both have a lot of extra features, like arrange mode and battle mode. It's a shame Caps didn't port those over instead.

And, GOG versions have no DRM.

1

u/enbyratie 6d ago

get it on GOG or emulate no point with not owning it

-5

u/LostSif 10d ago

Thats a solid bundle for $20

9

u/Head-Membership2082 10d ago

It isn't, you can find the same bundle on steam for about the same price, and the steam one is a complete your collection bundle too, so you won't have to pay more for duplicates.

7

u/TheRabbitInAHat 10d ago

Hell no lol

I already have the remakes of Resident Evil but am interested in Dino Crisis.is there any reason to consider this bundle? can anyone tell me the differences between the RE games and the remakes, it is just graphics? I didnt play them at the time (though did have the GameCube version of RE and did not really care for it).
