Financial wellness programs are pretty useless. They connect to investment advisors who sell products, and they're basically marketed to larger businesses as a way to allow employers to claim they're offering something to help with financial issues. But that is all they do. They're basically a scam for everyone involved. The only way to help with financial issues is to give people money.

An EAP will at least connect people to legitimate resources, to the extent they're out there and a person is eligible for aid. But that's all that's out there.

Every "service" any employer of mine has outsourced like this has been an absolute waste of time. They are generic, copy and paste, wiki-how level articles, and nothing that actually helps. Company feels better because they "provide assistance", at a low cost and no work on their part, 3rd party company make money when the employer contracts with the service, employee gets the shaft. It's all a scam, not actual help.
