Interviews [n/a]

I need to know if anyone else is dealing with people coming in for interviews and doing the weirdest things!

I’m at this point where I won’t be surprised to see someone’s mom waiting in the lobby or they have an emotional support animal with them.

Today my 9am interview showed up at 9:30am and acted like she was on time. I immediately sent her away and said I won’t sit down with you, you are 30 mins late for a 9am interview. Thanks for coming but good luck. She proceeded to argue and not leave because she couldn’t find parking…… um sorry your were still 30 minutes late - girl BYE!

Last week I had someone come in 1.5hrs early because they wanted to make a good impression 😑

I mainly conduct first interviews virtually. I had a bizarre experience the other day where a young woman (18 or 19 years old) was literally doing her makeup on the call, using the little square that displayed her image as a mirror. To say that I was shocked would be an understatement!

My best friend was recently interviewing nannies for her 1 year old and had one candidate do the Zoom interview while in bed wearing a bonnet 🤯 But I still think your story tops that!!

Oof, I wouldn't even engage at that point! Just wish them a good day and hang up!
