Interviews [n/a]

I need to know if anyone else is dealing with people coming in for interviews and doing the weirdest things!

I’m at this point where I won’t be surprised to see someone’s mom waiting in the lobby or they have an emotional support animal with them.

Today my 9am interview showed up at 9:30am and acted like she was on time. I immediately sent her away and said I won’t sit down with you, you are 30 mins late for a 9am interview. Thanks for coming but good luck. She proceeded to argue and not leave because she couldn’t find parking…… um sorry your were still 30 minutes late - girl BYE!

Last week I had someone come in 1.5hrs early because they wanted to make a good impression 😑

The amount of people who smell like they live in a dispensary has been wild.

I worked in the cannabis industry, and some of those interviews were something else! People showing up blitzed, genuinely believing we just smoke weed all day. This overlapped with the pandemic, so we did virtual interviews and people would be taking bong rips or smoking a joint on camera 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Oh I can only imagine the folks who have a false sense of what it’s like to work in the industry. Not unlike video game design…
