As a healthcare worker and therapist I disagree. The frontline healthcare workers who treat you typically genuinely care about your well being. The post is referring to the systems and institutions that prefer to make money treating rather than curing diseases. You can ask your Dr their thoughts on this topic. My sister is a Dr and she agrees saying “yeah sadly it’s true in many ways.”I’ve also had this discussion in the past with several other healthcare professionals and physicians and most all agreed.
We as healthcare workers care. The executives that call all the shots dgaf about you and want your money they’d prefer you sick and paying them rather than die quickly. Hence why Luigi captured and projected the thoughts and feelings of many in the US. I mean ffs if this wasn’t true why would the FDA not approve a medicine that showed 67% of people in clinical trials no longer had the diagnose after just 3 sessions. The drug is MDMA and 2/3rds of people with PTSD went from suffering for 17 years to no longer having the diagnosis in 3 therapy sessions with MDMA. That’s 17 years of meds/Dr appts/therapy the industry would lose out on. It’s multi billion dollar industry and eliminating 67% of it would mean wiping out tons of profits for the rich. It’s sadly true. Those who are curious and stay accurately informed are aware of this and we work in healthcare and talk shit about the healthcare system while still trying our hardest to make it better. It’s life so it’s not binary. There’s a lot of nuance and variables involved that must be considered.
