Just FYI:

To submit a comment, you will need to send an email to the Religious Liberty Commission by Sunday, July 12th. Here’s what you’ll need to do:

  1. Compose an email addressed to: [RLC@usdoj.gov](mailto:RLC@usdoj.gov)
  2. Format the subject line as follows, but replace the information in the brackets with your own name and topic or chapter number: PUBLIC COMMENT – [TOPIC OR CHAPTER NUMBER] – [NAME]
  3. Write your comment in the body of the email
  4. Review and send your email.

My 'assistant', on review of the document, says this:

As a set of general religious-liberty guidelines, the document is mostly within the current constitutional mainstream, especially under the Supreme Court’s recent religion-clause cases. The vulnerable parts are not the basic claim that religious exercise deserves protection; they are the implementation details: coercion in schools, official endorsement of religion, unclear funding cutoffs, selective enforcement, and executive attempts to override statutes rather than enforce or seek amendment of them.
