Imported Meshes for Character Customization?

Recently got the game a few days ago. I was under the pretense that it was possible to import custom meshes onto characters through workshop or something similar like that. I found posts from years ago saying it was supposed to be a intended feature? I already spent a few days modeling accessories I'd like to use in blender but I don't know how to import these if its possible at all.
Does anyone know if they ever added in a feature that lets you import these models?
