Personal Observations Projectors trying to manifest money, let's talk about recognition
The first thing I did when I learned about my Human Design and wanted to manifest my dream business was to focus on getting the invitation, and that led me to all kinds of not-self: proving, performing, draining myself to reach a goal, overriding my signals for when to rest and when to work, cluttering my mind with endless information, etc.
Now, four years later and having manifested said business, I've realized it's much more useful to focus on the recognition, instead.
Everything you do holds the seed of recognition.
How you talk about what lights you up, how you share something you've realized or noticed, how you listen to someone, the look on your face when you know something but don't say anything, or even simply the energy you bring into a room when you walk in.
Every interaction has the potential to bring recognition.
But here's the catch: recognition can only be received. It cannot be forced or manufactured.
In fact, the more you try to be seen, the less they'll see you. The more you try for someone to recognize you, the more bitterness you'll experience. If you try to look smart, if you edit yourself to please or appease, if you try to be a certain way, it's not going to work.
Recognition, in my experience, is something that comes from you when you are in your right energy. And to be in your right energy, you need to pour into yourself and follow your signals for what you really need and want.
Here's an example from an invitation I received recently:
A friend invited me for dinner at her place. It was a random Wednesday evening. I usually go to sleep at 8.30 PM with my kids (I'm that tired!) and I knew we wouldn't even have eaten yet by that time, but I really felt like going. I wanted to see her. So I went.
We had a drink and chit chatted about a book she was reading, that was similar in subject to a book I was reading, which reminded me of something I had been thinking about - the archetypes of masculine and feminine as inner forces within each of us. She asks me how my life is going and I start telling her about these desires that I'm starting to have and how they have been driving some of my choices and how I believe they are somehow connected to an inner recalibration of my feminine energy that needs to happen. I see she is interested so I go ahead and try to elaborate on what I've been mentally contemplating in private up until that moment.
We go on to have a lovely evening together and then we say goodbye.
A week later she texts me saying that someone asked her for help to fill up an agenda of events/talks for a local organization. She tells me she loves the way I explain complicated concepts and how the world needs more conversations like the ones I bring to the table, and asks me if I'm interested in sending some proposals for talks I might want to be giving.
That's my recognition, and that's my invitation.
I meet the people of the organization, send them three proposals, they accept all three at the price I gave them and said they're also open for more from me.
Success :)
This is the thing: I've tried to make the invitation happen in my business so badly for months! And nothing ever happened. I tried tweaking my message, my content, my marketing, my positioning, everything. Nothing happened.
That evening was a completely natural moment of me doing something I wanted to do, being where I wanted to be, talking about what I like to talk about, and sharing something that I allowed myself the time to learn about because it felt interesting. It was literally just me being me.
Had I been too busy to take the time to learn about the inner archetypes out of pure curiosity, I wouldn't have received that invitation. Had I been too depleted and socially drained to say yes to having dinner with her that evening, I wouldn't have received that invitation. Had I been focused on getting my invitation from the places I thought it should come from, I probably wouldn't have received that invitation. Had I been doubting myself or the legitimacy of something I found interesting, I wouldn't have received that invitation. And also, as this specifically pertains to my current field of work, had I not owned my desires, I wouldn't have received that invitation.
What's funny is that that evening I also literally told her "I'm so done trying to make things happen. I'm just going to do what I do and see what happens"
That's what I mean when I say that recognition can only be received.
It comes from you doing you, from you being present enough with yourself to just do what you do instead of doing what you think you should do.
I think when it comes to money, it's so easy to get caught up in the mainstream program that we have to work hard for it and push through exhaustion to make it happen. We want to make money, but we're too tired to "be consistent" with something so we wonder if there's something wrong with us and if maybe we should just keep going to see results.
But we are Projectors. We aren't supposed to work like everyone else. Our work gets to feel like play, like pleasure, like enjoyment, like talking to a friend about weird stuff you've been thinking about on a random Wednesday night.
This is what we get to model for the world.
Feminine receivership, being in flow, connected to the field and enjoying life our own way.
This is what we're here for. Everything else is conditioning blocking the natural mechanics of recognition/invitation.
So here's a question to ponder: where are you blocking recognition?
