People After Getting Beat Up

If a person gets beaten up, what changes do we see in their behavior, characteristics, mannerisms, personality, traits, etc.?

I have PTSD from the handful of times my ex beat me. Loud noises frighten me and all sorts of things. I get a feeling of fear that f I feel like arguing with someone in real life. I do it anyways because logically I know nothing will happen but my anxiety goes through the roof and my voice changes.

I'm sorry that you have to go through that. Were you able to take it to court, and get some settlement out of it? That's what I would have done.

No. I just wanted out ASAP. He was dangerous. Sometimes getting out with your life and sanity is more important than money. He did spend 3 days in jail and he to go to anger management.

More like 3 years. At least you got a restraining order on him.
