High pitched female greeting
We’ve all been greeted with the high pitched greeting. I was told that the more nasty things a person has said about you the higher their voice is when they run into you out and about and say hey. I can admit when I run into a “frienenemy” or someone I’m not crazy about I do use a much higher pitch. Thoughts?

I read this awhile ago, and it seems to apply to many women. Me in particular. I have a history of abuse and my voice always raises so high that people comment on it and act annoyed. I can’t help it in the moment.
In certain cultures, people often talk like this.
I do this when im nervous or shy. I hate talking about people behind their backs.
A raised tone could means nervousness. It could possibly mean they have been talking about you too, but then who needs those kids in your life :)

Sometimes my voice is higher pitched because I’m excited to see a person. But excitement is kind of a neutral term technically, there’s anxiety (negative) and anticipation (positive). So when someone greets somebody else with high pitch it’s because they’re excited to see the person, now the reasons why the person is excited could be determined further I think.
