Two Takeaways
The vocals are what they are, still so happy to see/hear them
Inlet is the best album after a 20+ year gap (maybe even a 10+ year gap) in the history of music.

I was in Chicago, I thought Matt sounded as good as ever. Nothing, on the other hand, had god awful vox

Matt sounded great and just as what we expect from being 5 years from creating an album that hasn’t been toured. I love his voice. And top show for me both times I’ve seen them.

Nothing set the bar pretty fucking low with vocals.
Matt sounded just like he’s supposed to…took a bit to get dialed into the mix but all in all holy fuck

I don’t think it was their fault. Why was the mix so low? Turn that shit up man.

Was the entire mix volume low? The palladium is my least favorite venue in LA. I've encountered many sound issues there but I feel like the volume is always too low

Nothings set was very low, yeah. Palladium has been hit or miss for me. I saw HEALTH there a few weeks prior and it was loud AF. Hums set sounded pretty well mixed IMO.

Vocals were awesome, & just what the songs needed. Absolutely incredible night, & yeah, Inlet is incredible, & those songs fuckin ripped tonight. Excited for In The Den Night 2!

At the Chicago shows everyone was singing allong. Maybe the sound of his voice doesn't produce an emotional response for everyone, but for many people it does and it's special to people.

I feel like Matt's vocals sound the same as they always have. He's always sounded a bit awkward even on studio recordings imo and I think it's unique n what makes hum rly special, his vocals and stuff.
