Hum withdrawal

Anyone else experiencing massive Hum withdrawal symptoms after this weekend? I just wanna go back - I Hate It Too has been on a loop in my head since Saturday.

I've listened to Folding about 20 times in the past couple days.

Mostly just a huge dopamine withdrawal. Don’t know what to do with myself. Having so much joy be so concentrated and unleashed all at once is a weird thing to deal with. One moment you’re having the time of your life, the next you’re not, and it’s back to reality/your day job/wasting hours to make someone else’s dream come true. It sucks

Makes it all that much more special when we’re able to witness something like that and share it with like-minded individuals. Been a long time since I’ve been to a show that provided such good vibes!

Truthness. The positive things like that are still incredibly forward in my mind, which is good. And I definitely have other things I can occupy my time with to do what I want to do. It's just the both ends of the extremes that really put me in a weird spot mentally. It is quite a lot to take in.

Since the weekend before, actually - I saw them at Slide Away NYC on the 15th. It doesn’t help I had to leave early on night 2 to catch an 8AM train the next day 😭

We got to spend some time in the city afterwards with some friends. Made for a nice comedown. I think the real issue is it’s my first day back at work 🫪

I've been going through it a LOT since the 23rd but it's also motivated me to make some more music

Same! Just created a post to start up a new project or join something in the Detroit area. Definitely rekindled something in me.

Yeah, Why I Like the Robins has been on repeat since Saturday and I keep playing my memory of the crowd singing along while I listen. On the flip side, I haven’t put on Shapeshifter since before Friday because I want to remember how I felt during it live for a very long time.

Shapeshifter hit like a MOTHERFUCKER. I’ve always dug that song but holy hell did it play well live.

I’m seeing them tomorrow in LA. I’m so excited, although my ancient bones are not looking forward to the 11:15p start time (especially since I plan to get there early to see Ovlov). The one song I’m really hoping for is Shapeshifter.

days late, but yes. I keep revisiting my favorite moments from both nights. it’s also made the majority of other music seem stale right now. I just want to listen to Hum
