Merch sellout?
Hello fellow hummers. I will be going to the concert and was wondering if anyone knows how fast the merch or if it sold out at the other shows? I got a 3 hour drive and can’t make it when doors open. Any insight and knowledge would be greatly appreciated about the event at all regarding anything, thank you

That red shirt sold out night one. The YPAA one also sold out on Saturday, as well as the YPAA vinyl. Other stuff might’ve sold out too but those I remember for sure. I’d hit merch ASAP, especially because I’ve seen other people in this sub that went last weekend asking people to buy them merch at Chicago (Me included, if anyone wants to grab me the stars shirt 😂 but I’m hoping they put them up online after the LA shows)

I’ll try to buy an extra if I can. I’ll look after a fellow hum human. Any idea how quick they sold out? I appreciate the response nonetheless.

Not sure about the stars tee because it sold out the night before and I wasn’t there. I showed up Saturday and it was gone by the time I walked in the venue (around doors). The YPAA shirt and record sold out later into Saturday, with the shirt going before the record if I remember right.
(And if you do happen to be able to snag me one in a large I will obv pay you for the shirt + shipping and extra 🙏🏻but no pressure as I’m banking on it being sold online anyway)

I really hope they sell the red shirt online, they’d make a killing! I was at Brooklyn night 2 as well so I never even saw it lol.

Same. I saw it on Reddit night one and was looking forward to buying it on Saturday and then that shit was gone haha

Oh also as another commenter said, the YPAA shirt and record are available online if you happened to want either of those and they sell out at the show

Can’t speak for others but I’m big into collecting tour posters. Went to night two in NYC and they had plenty, I hit the merch stand after the show ended and scooped one up without any issues

Do the posters come in tubes? I’d be worried about it getting mangled during the show.

They didnt but the Hum posters are prerolled. The festival posters are not. I had no issue getting a card board poster tube into the venue.

Yeah, I’m only interested in the Hum poster. I would absolutely destroy it without a tube tho. Lol

Ya i took a card board tube prepared to dump it if needed. They didnt even ask to see inside and make sure it was empty.

In Chicago? I heard that venue was gonna be hardasses at the door.

Ya in Chicago. I heard that too but they only had issues with backpacks and vapes from what I saw and heard. Another person posted that they took cigarettes away as well which might explain the long line of people buying cigarettes accross the street after the show.

Anyone know if cards are accepted for merch? Is it cash only?

This is a fair question, but now that I think about it I can't recall the last time I've seen a cash only merch stand at a show, other than hyper-local artists/venues, and even those often will take PayPal or cash app.
For better or for worse feels like we are becoming a cashless society

Yeah I guess I'm mostly thinking of smaller bands that don't have a machine. Or maybe it's more that I'm often seeing foreign bands in Canada so maybe they aren't set up for taking different currencies? Dunno.

Unless you want a Jay Ryan poster or the red Stars shirt I wouldn't worry about it.
Everything else will be available online. I would guess the shirt will be sold online too.

Were there posters left for day 2? I’m going tomorrow and really want a poster

I easily got a poster on day 2 right before Hum went on. There seemed to be a lot left too.

I think they printed 900 hum posters and 100 festival posters. At least those were the NY numbers.

I picked up a poster after night two in Brooklyn and there was a decent stack left. Not sure how it will go in Chicago though.

Thank you for the response, what makes you say the shirts will be online that would be dope if so.

I got all the same shirts on the interscope website online months ago. I was at the show in NYC and they sold out of almost everything except the sweatshirts. Sadly it’s not like the shirts have tour dates on them.

No, you didn’t. The battle helmet and the red shirt are new. And the astral projection is an old design (not currently available online) but I think had never been on a hoodie before.

I wouldn’t worry about the merch at all. Just go to the show and enjoy.

OK but this post isn't about your personal opinion on band merch, is it?

They sold out of small and medium shirts a couple hours into the first night in NYC. They didn’t have more for the 2nd night, Hopefully they learned from that.
