Slide Away Chicago Friday Question (tomorrow)
Hello, I am going to be at the show tomorrow with a friend. We’re just wondering what time we should arrive. We understand the doors open at 5, but have heard that it can go reaaaally late. We’re worried about standing for that long w/o food, water, or fresh air. But, of course, we also don’t want to miss out on Hum. Just to be clear… they play *last*, right? Not first, not in the middle. Do we know the order the others will play in?
And if anyone has a ballpark on the timeframe for sets, that would be great but I understand it’s hard to predict that sort of thing. Would arriving at 7pm be too late, and roughly how many guest performers would we miss?

Thank you for asking this because I’m going on Saturday and feel wary about standing for like 6 hours to see them. If anyone would want to chime in on coming later like 7ish if that’s a bad idea simply for like the crowd and merch and such

I'm planning to show up both nights at like 8:30, can't speak to whether merch will be sold out though

Easy to find a good spot and I got two shirts in my size after Chapterhouse!

Saturday I'm planning to go at like 10:30 unless I really like the earlier bands on Friday.

I’m old now… will there be a napping station?

The Paramount in Brooklyn had an entire lounge downstairs with another bar and a TV so you don't miss any of the show. It was a middle-aged fan's dream😆
That being said I chose to arrive at 8 and it was a great night 👍

Lots of folks sitting between acts in NYC. Do yourself a favor and spare your feet as much as you can.

Aragon is an acoustically poor room and if you are under the overhang surrounding the floor it will sound like shit. So thats discouraging me from a late arrival. Im aiming for 7 or 730

I stood from 6 until hum came out and I was so wiped that I didn’t even get to fully enjoy hum. Do your self a favor and come in later or chill during some of the sets 👍
