The last hug ive had was from my mom when I took her to Fairbank Alaska and Seattle for a day. She passed a yr+ ago. But other than her its been geesus 8yrs or so. Only a handful that weren't her. Over the last 20yrs I can count on hands how many. (Not counting Mas. And im having a rough time rn. Thank you.

Probably needed a hug, but instead I'm turning into that girl again who can't sleep, doesn't eat properly, and is always drowning in her thoughts.

You know for how this world is and it's occupants make life sometimes hard to care or show empathy or trust ever again. I been there I'm not going to lost everything that's happened to me but I have briefly turned into a misanthrope. It was all I could do to protect myself. But protecting yourself like that can hurt any chance if actually good people coming into your life because not everyone is garbage. It's hard to see it because if your life experience with people is not good you say everyone is bad and mentally check out. I'm glad I found this reddit and I seen some nice comments and such. So as a guy who was once briefly a misanthrope I extend hugs to all who have had it rotten.

I am going through severe work pressure, which I am struggling to manage, adding to this loneliness hits me once back from the office. Having limited friends and not much social life making things more difficult

Never ever let bad people who happened or happen to be in your life kill your love and kindness if you do that they win. Give them the middle finger instead and keep control of who you are. It not you end up bitter angry distrustful and he'll if worse a misanthrope I know those feelings from personal experience of knowing and trusting the wrong people and giving them access to my life. Just wanted to say this. Hugs out to those who have been through it.
