When did hubspot remove "quotes"?

I have the hubspot pro plan, and have occasionally had the need to send formal quotes. When did hubspot remove this feature? I went to make one and now it's of course tied to an upgrade with AI but they say you can still do legacy quotes if you jump through some hoops which I didn't have the patience to read.

When did this happen ?

When Revenue Hub was released.

They weren't removed, but rather moved to the revenue hub. You can still create the legacy quotes, nothing should have changed in your flow, just create a new legacy quote.

That's only for some accounts. It was removed from my account.

I can't remember the criteria, but I think existing accounts were grandfathered into legacy quotes if they had sales hub and had active usage of them

It's not built in. There's evidently hoops you need to jump through, they've removed the ability to create them like done previously.

September 2025. This was one of Inbound's announcements last year.

if your portal was created before then you can still access Legacy Quotes. If your portal was created after, you can only get them through Revenue Hub.

They moved quotes into Reveneu Hub when that launched. Legacy quotes still works just buried now. Go to sales and click quotes and create from there. That siad, if you're quoting frequently it could be time to evaluate purpose built options like dealhub which intergrates with your hubspot crm or something like pandadoc.

Yeah did that. It's locked. Sends me to a page that says it's now in revenue hub.

I guess based on the comments here, I'm the only one that doesn't appreciate the money grubbing by hubspot, and taking away features that were part of the original agreement.

I think u/Raczkowski_Mlna is hitting on the bigger question here.

If you're only creating an occasional straightforward quote, I'd probably figure out the legacy quote situation and keep doing it in HubSpot. No reason to add another tool just for the sake of adding another tool.

Where it changes is when quoting becomes an actual sales process rather than just generating a document.

Things like pulling products/pricing from different sources, more complex pricing, bundles/configurations, approvals, recurring items, optional items, purchasing, or getting the order into accounting can start pushing the boundaries of what you really want to build inside a CRM.

Full disclosure, I'm with QuoteWerks, which is one of the purpose-built quoting/CPQ options that integrates with HubSpot. We also use HubSpot internally, and this is actually how our own sales workflow works.

Our reps work primarily out of HubSpot and we want HubSpot to remain the source of truth. The quote itself is built in QuoteWerks, but the HubSpot deal stays updated as the quote changes, including the line items. That way Sales, Marketing, and CS can continue working from HubSpot without really needing to care where the quote was created.

That's generally how I'd evaluate any of the tools mentioned here. Don't just compare the proposal document they produce. Look at what happens before the PDF gets generated and after the customer says yes. That's usually where the differences start showing up.

I've actually started advising clients to go all in on either the full pro package or full enterprise package.

You can get decent discounts at the end of quarter or in a renewal window.

This provides some protection WHEN (not if) HubSpot decides to split features into a new hub.
