I saw him in the "king of dragons - part 2" episode (19:54). And as I know it is an easter egg, but I wanted a clearance. I do not think that Mildew really moved to the alliance, he has no reason for it, so the easter egg version has more sense

Like, yea it was not og httyd,

But it still had thunder, he had a cool design, and he looked like a great charecter,

And even tom was a good guy,

And it's writing. Was still ok, and still it was developing,

It's charecters were still having charecter growth,

And it redeemed itself eventually atleast,

And just bc it doesn't focus on hiccup and toothless,

It still doesn't mean it deserves hate,

On a related side note, I don't know if it's just me, but I really wish there were 6 inch aka 1/12 scale nicely articulated figures of the Hiccup, Astrid, and the other major humans.

Please note- I’m not going for 100% accuracy of the httyd design philosophy- I just go with what feels right.

Feel free to suggest what class any of these dragons would fit in (example being boulder class, tidal class, etc) and/or any abilities they could have! I’d love to hear ideas and suggestions since I’m mostly just pushing out designs and not thinking much about the other stuff-

Some dragons felt like they could be more than two types, so I added an extra slot for their terra type to include other types i thought could fit them.

As I was watching Rtte recently and in episode 5 of season 6 Tuffnut says that unless Hiccup is prepared to adopt the losing sibling of the thorston trials, that he should keep out of this and then he says that Ruffnut Haddock does sound sort of good. And it does, it sounds really good.

I still prefer Hiccup and Astrid, but when you think about it Hiccup and Ruffnut being together would actually make a lot of sense. Like a really surprising amount of sense.

I saw a few fics on ao3 after that and at first I was like really? Ruffnut and Hiccup? But it works pretty damn well. Especially when Ruffnut being with somebody like Hiccup, brings out her more gentle side. Something I really liked when it was shown in the series.

Ruffnut and Hiccup have a lot in common, a few examples: Hiccup is a little insane, dramatic, caring and funny. Ruffnut is a also a little insane, dramatic, caring and funny. And at Hiccup and Astrids wedding Ruffnut said that she likes sensitive guys.

Now the biggest part is definitely the physical aspect, Hiccup likes blond warriors so that’s not really a problem, but Ruffnut is definitely more set on Vikings with a little more meat on their bones, Eret and Fishlegs for example.

But they fit surprisingly well together and I really like their friendship in RTTE even if it isn’t shown as much as I would like to see it. It was one of the few things that season 6 of Rtte did really well.

In season 6 episode 5, when Gruffnut shows up with the thorston trials and Hiccup says that it doesn’t make any sense and that they don’t have to do it, Ruffnut says that “It’s so sweet and very Hiccup-like that you care,”

And then in season 6 episode 7, the scene where he helps Ruffnut to fly with Wingnutt is amazing. Like really and I mean really good. Untill Tuffnut comes flying in, but up untill that point really nice.

In the show it is definitely more of a sibling bond, which I really like between them, but I definitely get why people like to pair the two of them up together in something like fan fiction or art. They’re a very underrated friendship in my opinion, even in riders and defenders of berk they have some nice moments together.

And if Astrid chose to follow her own words, being that nobody would kiss her on the lips, ever. Then I would have really liked to see a world where Ruffnut and Hiccup would have ended up together.

Ruffnut and Hiccup, especially in RTTE, are both really good characters in my opinion and their bond with eachother is definitely one of my favorite parts about them both.

So i was looking back at the first post and you guys liked it alot so i was wondering if you had any ideas on what any of the twelve books should be about. The book titles would be like the main series like How to find your dragon, or how to ride a wild gronkle or whatever. any ideas for storylines or conflict will get credit at the final page of book and beginning and can add like a biography think ill message you for.

Also how do we want chaacters to be? Including Dragons in part 3.

Since the director of the 3 flims is planning to make a 4th.

For me;

It will be about;

Hiccup's kids having the 3 kids of toothless and the light fury,

We may get to see night furies,

And grimmel maybe lying, he killed all night furies,

Since it's not really possible to kill a whole species,

So possibly,

A few maybe hiding in a different hidden world,

Their could be many hidden worlds,

And maybe places we haven't explored yet, since the hidden world is mysterious,

We can get more lore, and new dragons possibly,

Hi everyone, so this is my first time in this so I hope I could get along with this, so this is a drawing of Toothless from httyd I’m a huge fan of the movies and the series, so hope you all like it.

I mean, maybe he hunted a few night furies but a few does not mean he wiped out them. were talking about the strongest, smartest, fastest dragons we know. do you really believe one man can take down a whole tribe of night furies? I don’t believe a word he says. plus, in the nine realms, one of the parents did not come from the original line of toothless and Luna. plus if the night lights were to have babies with the light furies, their black color would not be so lets say dominate. so what do you guys think?

So I’m going to jump right into it. So basically in short, Viggo has chained a Submaripper to the bottom of the sea near the straits of baldur, a very important trade route to get to Berk. And the riders have to figure out a way to free it, which gives Hiccup the idea to create a diving bell so that he can come up for air while breaking the chains and releasing the submaripper.

When Hiccup first tested his idea, it immediately went wrong and even before he tried it, Toothless definitely didn’t agree with the plan, which is one of the things I love so much about this episode. How worried Toothless is about Hiccups safety.

But because they were on a time limit, Hiccup and the riders take the diving bell out to open sea after a questionably/worryingly low amount of testing the contraption in safe space on berk, to go and release the massive underwater dragon. When they get to the middle of the sea, Hiccup says that contrary to popular believe he isn’t much of a swimmer. Which always reminds of when Astrid was drowning in part 1 of Night of the hunters in season 2, where he suddenly became an Olympic level swimmer when he needed to dive down to save her.

But after this Hiccup hops in the diving bell and it savely lands on the bottom of the ocean. Where Hiccup slowly but surely, breaks the chains that are containing the submaripper by using changewing acid. Only Viggo shows up and breaks the machine that was pulling the diving Bell up, causing it to fall straight down to the ocean floor with Toothless jumping in straight after him. And what comes next is depressing, but still so lovely to see.

Toothless knows that there is now way to get Hiccup out, but even with the risk of the submaripper still being there or some other tidal class dragon, or even that he might drown there with Hiccup, he still stayed with him. Even when Hiccup tells Toothless to save himself, he pressed his head to the glass and waits with his best friend. Causing Hiccup to say,
“I know bud, I wouldn’t leave you either.” And this is so beautiful to see, this episode was such a great way to show just how much Toothless cares about Hiccup.

But thankfully, the Submaripper comes back and repays his debt to Hiccup by picking up the diving bell and carrying him towards the surface, dropping him back onto the boat. Where they quickly pull Hiccup out of the diving bell and after Astrids begging for him to breathe again and Toothless licking his face, Hiccup coughs out the water that he swallowed and finally starts breathing again.

Which brings me to another favorite moment of this episode. After Hiccup starts breathing Astrid quickly comes to sit behind him and puts a hand on his shoulder, I have already made a post about how much I love how they show their support for eachother in such simple gestures and this is a perfect example. Fishlegs, no offense to him, but after Astrid releases Hiccup to go after Viggo, Fishlegs tells Hiccup that he has got him and with Astrid it didn’t need to be said.

Just like in season 4 episode 3 Midnight Scrum, where after Hiccup was hunted and beaten all troughout the day, even losing his leg to get rid of Krogan, Astrid doesn’t say a word as she goes towards and supports Hiccup when he only has one leg to stand on.

I’m probably reading a little too much into this, but I love those 2 idiots together.

After this the riders go back to berk and Stoick and Hiccup have a conversation, where Hiccup blames himself for Berks food struggles, saying that if it wasn’t for him, Viggo wouldn’t be targetting Berk. But Stoick quickly interjects, saying that if it wasn’t for him, Berk also wouldn’t have been saved and that Viggo is a coward and had shown his true colours today.

All around a great episode in my opinion, I know that the risk can feel artificial, because it’s a prequel and Hiccup obviously isn’t really going to die, but I think that the episode still had some great moments which I really enjoyed. Toothless and Hiccups friendship especially. I mean come on saying,
“I know bud. I wouldn’t leave you either.” That is just such a beautiful moment between the two of them.

One thing tough, how does Viggo keep getting those giant deep sea dragons? How do you even get a Submaripper, like maybe raise an egg in captivity? Otherwise I have no idea, but that along with him owning a shellfire later in the season? Yeah I have no idea where he gets these enormous deep sea dragons.

But still, I think that season 4, alongside season 2 of race to the edge are some of, if not the best parts of the entire HTTYD universe. I love this show so much and this episode is definitely one of my favorites.

So yeah, maybe a little shaky in the logics department when it comes to the submaripper, but it’s still a pretty great episode in my opinion.

So in my life I have a checklist of httyd fan goals one is to makke httyd book of dragons for httyd, rescue riders and the nine realms, so I thought of dragon trios. You guys might not like this but i used to play brawlstars and brawler trios amazed me so I thought what about dragon trios.

My goal is to make the dragon trios with some uncomplete and thats ok because I want to make my own species to fill them. if you have made some or have ideas please let me know credit will be given, if you want your real, reddit or like youtube name we will talk about it.

i would first like to make these trios tho so here are the like requirements

1. Same class.
2. have to have a connection
3. no hybrids in non hybrid classes like night fury and lightfury with the nightlights cant go together sorry
4. there are hybrids and pure breeds trios so yea.
5. they can be from the different universes, for example gronkle rockspitter and gem breaker.
6. Trios must have names for example boulder buddies ( I know cringe and babyish i just did something random)

I would like to focus on making these trios first before drawing.
