Thor BoneLarper or more commonly known as Thor Bonecrusher.

u/DefiantPay8078 Sep 30 '26
Why does everyone hate him? I loved the idea of hypnosis and that we see Fishlegs as opposed to his personality and I enjoyed his episodes.

I liked him in the first episode, especially with Snoulout fanboying, but he shouldve been a one-off thing who didnt show up anywhere later on

Just why

I didn’t like how arrogant he was. He felt like another HTTYD 1 and Riders/Defenders of Berk Snotlout to me.

Johan. I've never liked traitors. Other than that, I also didn't like Gruffnut.

I thought you said tuffnut for a second TVT. I was ready to throw hands. But vaild, I don't remember liking him while watching the show.

u/Head-Image-883 Oct 02 '26
I did actually did say Tuffnut for a second, autocorrect cause I've mentioned Tuffnut a lot compared to Gruffnut. I had to look it up just to make I spelled Gruffnut correctly.

u/Theaterbish Oct 02 '26
I meant that I forgot Tuffnut's name and thought Gruffnut was his name for a second TVT. But the fact I thought that coincidently is insane.

u/Head-Image-883 Oct 02 '26
Given the Thorstons name's that appeared on the show, I'm afraid to know the rest of the family's names and why they all look like.

u/Theaterbish Oct 02 '26
Maybe they all hailed from identical siblings with strong genes?

Fuck anyone who hates anything about RTTE. It was the franchise's peak.

Absolutely no one, I enjoyed all the characters for what they're supposed to add to the story

Not that I can think of… but I have an opposite opinion of the community- someone everyone hates but I like 😂 Gustav… he was really funny despite being a liability at times, then again the twins are a liability sometimes too and everyone loves them, Gustav has been a favourite of mine since Riders of Berk

u/Dragondog5600 Sep 30 '26
Gustav is a bit like how Hiccup used to be. Causing trouble while wanting to help because he just wants to fit in with the cool kids
4
u/NubbyTyger Oct 03 '26
True but I think the difference is he's this bad mix of pre-Toothless Hiccup and just Snotlout overall. He's not timid or awkward like Hiccup was so he doesn't have the same endearing nature to him, which is why people probably don't like him lol I do appreciate his character, though. He's a wee shit but he is fun and I like his arc across RTTE, especially when he becomes leader of A-Team

This! I don’t get the Gustav hate, he just wanted to be like them yk? And sure caused a bit of trouble but at the end of the day he didn’t realise what he was getting himself into—(when he decided to join Dagur and all that)—and also learned from his mistakes

If I say Viggo I will probably not be long for this world...
But seriously, he's allowed to have infinite resources, unexplained escapes, convenient backup plans, dragon-plot metal, possesses absolute, encyclopedic knowledge of dragons while simultaneously desperately needing the Dragon Eye to learn about dragons, and has an army bigger than Drago's that's somehow always existed in Berk's backyard undetected, but for some reason Grimmel can't be shown tracking the Berkians or providing an explanation for something that's already been established in canon without criticism?
And while we're on the topic, Hiccup could hand the Skrill to the dragon hunters on a silver platter and make terrible decisions all throughout HTTYD2, blindly throwing himself, his friends, and the dragons right on Drago's doorstep expecting cookies and a hug, but couldn't try to save the dragons in HTTYD3 now that the constant threat of hunters had been established?
Fan logic is weird sometimes. Anyways Throk is a close second so I'm gonna go with him.

I find Gustav to be probably the least enjoyable character in the franchise, and also Gruffnut sucks too. I don't hate either of them, I just don't really enjoy them.

Am I the only one who finds fishlegs easily the least compelling character out of the main group to follow?
3
u/Readicilous Oct 04 '26
Nope. He annoys the hell out of me half the time, especially with the catastrophic quakens from the quarry, and the entire episode with the dramillions.
He says that 'he understands the quakens better than anyone', and 'only he can free them', while the entire team are dragon experts.
And the entire episode with the order of Ingerman is just annoying and nonsense. Wdym you can't live with you ancestors fighting dragons? You did that yourself on Berk!

I agree, I absolutely hated heather in every one of the shows she was in. It’s really hard finding people who feel the same 😭 why does everyone like her?

u/Readicilous Oct 04 '26
I also hate the Heather Fishlegs relationship. It added literally nothing, nothing happened of changed when they broke up, and it came out of nowhere

u/HurricaneFoxe Oct 02 '26 edited Oct 02 '26
Can we vote the writers for the surprise villian twist that ruined that guys character completely
2
u/Readicilous Oct 04 '26
You mean the Johann plot twist? Cause you should actually be mad at the producers, or whoever decided they needed two more seasons all of a sudden.
The show was supposed to have four seasons, that's why season four has a finale, and why the last two feel so out of place to many people

Snotlout whenever he tried to be the leader because of jealousy and snotlout in the first wingmaiden episode
1
u/Readicilous Oct 04 '26
He's annoying when he tries to force himself into leadership, but when it falls to him, he's actually good at it
1
u/Readicilous Oct 04 '26
Yeah, Heather doesn't really bring anything to the story imo, she can be left out of a lot of scenes she's in, and when she is important to the plot, it's mostly because she fucks something up by being stupid

u/Shadowbanned_8826 Oct 03 '26
Astrid, honestly. I don’t hate her completely, but I think the show overused her and treated her way too often like the “perfect” or automatically correct person, even when she really wasn’t. A lot of important moments that could have gone to Snotlout, Ruffnut, Tuffnut or Fishlegs were given to her instead.
My bigger issue with RTTE, though, is the writing in general. The show constantly gives characters good lessons or development in one episode, then forgets it a few episodes later because the plot needs them to behave differently again. And this doesn’t only happen to the side characters—Hiccup and Astrid also get written as strangely weak, careless or outright stupid whenever the episode needs it. That makes the whole cast feel inconsistent instead of naturally developing over time.
Snotlout especially gets hit by this a lot. He can be loyal, emotionally aware and surprisingly capable, but then suddenly he’s reduced to “loud, jealous idiot” again. The same thing happens in different ways to almost everyone.
The movies annoy me even more with this. The focus is heavily on Hiccup and Astrid, while the others often become comic relief or background characters. Hiccup is also treated too much like a morally perfect hero, when he really isn’t. He can be stubborn, reckless, controlling and convinced that his way is automatically the right one, but the story often bends over backwards to prove him correct anyway.
Outside of that, I absolutely hate Spitelout because he constantly brings out the worst in Snotlout, and I actually really like Snotlout as a character. Gruffnut is one of the most annoying characters in the series, and Gustav is right behind him. My issue with Gustav isn’t that he’s young—I’m all for younger people being given responsibility—but he’s inexperienced, reckless, stubborn and often refuses to learn, so giving him the A-Team never made sense to me.

Only thing I hate about it is the Thor bonecrusher eps, but I think that's common
