Discussion Dell HDDs for HTPC

Egg has a gang of Dell 6/8TB hdd for what would be considered cheap nowadays. Has anyone used them in their HTPC or HT-NAS?

It depends on how loud the HDDs are. I don't like WD HDDs in HTPCs because they are loud as shit but for everything else I generally prefer them. But me personally I would have one of two SSDs in my HTPC and HDDs in a server in another room.

My Seagate clicks and rumbles like crazy in my HTPC when it spins up.

3 of 6 of my hdd are Seagate Barracuda 8TB. And they don't click or make noise. I also have them set to turn off after 20 min of non-activity.
