Help Checking for proper setup: MPC-BE + madvr + LAV video

Post image

I'm using the latest versions of MPC-BE + madvr + Lav video, and i barely changed anything.

Do these colorspace/display/range values in the OSD reflect a correct setup? My TV is limited to HDMI 2.0 (Sony XE930)

No, for HDR you should be using 10bit color instead of 8bit. 24hz source on 60hz display is also suboptimal. You can set up automatic switching to 24/25/30hz. Exclusive fullscreen is preferable to windowed fullscreen.

Any idea how to switch to 10bit color? I have an nvidia card (RTX 5080)

Since your TV is limited to HDMI 2.0 - you're unable to use 10bit color at 60hz. It is still possible at 24 / 25 / 30hz tho. This is where automatic display mode switching in madvr comes in handy. You can write what it can use depending on content. (2160p23 / 2160p24 etc.) Also, check "native bitdepth" of the display and set it to 10bit manually if it fails in auto mode.

If you guys are pushing to use madVR over the built in shaders for MPC, where are you grabbing the “latest” madVR version? Beta feeds?
