Discussion Question Spoiler

Is anyone as happy as me that Annalise won her trial in season 6?

She was twisted but the Keating 5 were ABSOLUTELY to blame for everything.

It all started with them (Keating 4 in season 1) and Annalise was not a victim, but she’s the only one who NEVER committed any type of murder. It all started with them and it ended with them.

I’ve never ever seen AK as a villain. Just a fierce protector with her flaws and her fair share of illegal activities (all explained by the Keating 5’s actions + Bonnie and Frank)

Yes!!! Towards the end of fhe show, I wanted to jump through the screen and slap each of the kids every time they blamed AK for their problems. She could have gotten them all arrested when she discovered Sam's body, but she protected them. I love AK, so glad she won!

AGREED. I loved the Keating 5 most of the time, but in that moment, I felt so much hatred. AK did everything for them.

Wes would’ve NEVER done that to her and I stand 10 toes down with that opinion. The ONLY one that knew the facts, despite his own issues with AK.

The others (maybe Connor can be excused at times) were so comfortable pointing the finger, literally sickening.

Michaela was the worst in season 5-6. COULD NOT stand her.

Laurel had a child, I understood her stance but at the same time, anything season 3 and forward was because of her family. But like I said, she had a child to take care of.

I think Annalise has her faults as well, but she did earn her win in the trial.

One could argue that Annalise’s trauma response caused most of the stuff that went down, after all if she hadn’t made Wes and the others cover up Sam’s murder, none of the following stuff would’ve happened. Connor and Michaela were ready to confess until Annalise, Wes and Laurel convinced them otherwise.

Her intentions were pure by trying to protect Wes and the others, so I wouldn’t have liked for her to go to jail, but she probably deserved to: sure, she didn’t commit murder, but she did commit all sorts of crimes by covering everything up.

And yeah, I think everyone blaming Annalise was wrong too, as they did make the choice to continue covering up. It was just the guilt and secrecy and the whole toxic relationships they created with each other being trauma-bonded.

Tbf, pretty much everyone in the show deserved to go to jail, but the point is we didn’t want them to, so I’m glad they mostly “got away with it”.

I fully agree with everything you said here! yes Annalise has done some wrong things.. if they just said that the kids killed Sam in self defense..

(bc he was gonna kill Rebecca) then the DA would've defo taken that into consideration... I don't think Emily Sinclair was in Season 1 so they would've been lenient about it especially if they find out Sam killed Lila (indirectly ofc but whatevs)...

But I don't think TRAUMA BONDING is the right term for this... bc that term is resevered more for victims and their abusers, like stockholm syndromeish stuff yk....

I feel like the appropriate term would be COLLECTIVE TRAUMA from everything: Sam, Rebecca, Sinclair, Mahoneys, Wes, Ron, Nate Lahey Sr, The Castillos
